The dark queen glanced around the bar as Otrox simply took the now unclaimed beer. She scrunched up her nose a bit as she contemplated his offer, Electra wasn't a fan of the liquid, she didn't hate it but beer was by no means her first choice. Ever. The taste seemed almost bitter, in a not quite please t way and often left an odd taste in her mouth afterwards that took a little too much effort to get rid of. So Lecky hesitated at the offer. About to refuse simply citing her not particularly enjoying the beer when her light green eyes once again scanned the tavern. Nearly every other cat had some sort of drink, and as she scanned Electra accidentally caught sight of a rather pointed look towards her from an other queen and then what appeared to be the queen whispering to her friend who too looked over. She wasn't too keen on the looks she got and decided that maybe the beer would help. Electra may not be the biggest fan of beer, but it was unquestionably preferable to the looks and possible attention not having a drink could cause. So with a small nod to herself 'Lectra refocused on Otrox, "After all the excitement of our little time together why not?"
A laugh bubbled up her throat at Otrox's jaw dropped, amused to have apparently surprised the tom that much with her admission. Had he not takes a drink of his beer Lecky would have been tempted to reach out and close hispith for him. Fighting off her full. Blown grin the dark queen shook her head, "No I had quite the soft landing on you." she joked, emphasizing her point of a soft landing by lightly poking him in the stomach.

Otrox had to admit, he was incredibly surprised that the dark beauty had decided to take him up on his offer. He knew he was staring at her, surprise in his eyes, and impressed at the same time, as he watched her take hold of the mug of beer he had held out for her. He clinked his mug with the rim of hers just before he swallowed down two gulps of the ale. "You surprise me, darlin'." It wasn't quite a toast to Electra, but it was probably the closest Otrox would ever really come to toasting something other then the typical alpha male responses.
Otrox concealed his softened eyes by drowning himself in his mug of beer once more. Never one to outwardly show just how much he enjoyed spending time with someone else, unless it was a romantic partner or someone who was interested in getting to that point. Those types of instances were comfortable to him. But actually enjoying time with an individual that wasn't going to lead to that point, and a jellicle too, was uncharted territory for the tall black tom. "Soft?"
He questioned when her words caught up with his brain. But he had been in the middle of drinking his beer when he spoke and some of it got sprayed onto the table and down his chest. How was his abs and hard chest muscles...soft? Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, and ignoring the droplets of beer dampening his chest, he placed Electra with a confused stare. "Are you trying to imply something, princess?" He couldn't quite make his expression turn into annoyed or disappointed, but he managed to keep himself, sort of, from smiling in amusement.

Electra grinned before taking a drink out of her mug. Her green eyes rather bright at his statement, "It's us quiet ones you gotta watch out for. Always the most surprising. Promise." she quipped, adding a wink in just to be conspiratorial. Though it was a pretty valid point. Quiet cats who didn't bring attention to themselves tended to over hear things and therefore have knowledge that no one quite expected them to have. Or do something others wouldn't have realized was normal for them. Besides, who would really expect much out of a small dark quiet queen? There was a pleasant advantage for Lectra from her perspective, she was never really expected to act a certain way so it gave her more freedom to be herself. Especially once she stopped feeling so out of place and wrong. Now she simply acted how she felt most comfortable.
Which occasionally meant teasing other cats. Or disappearing off to a dark tavern by herself when the worry in the Yard was too much. Though this time, she had company. And she had felt fine admitting the honest truth that she was enjoying Otrox's company. There was no reason or advantage to her lying about it. In truth she'd never had too much interaction with a Hench before, and definitely not for this length of time or as enjoyable. With the exception of her cousin, though he didn't really count - they were family.
As the beer that had been in the tom's mouth flew out of it, the dark queen leaned back slightly to avoid getting hit by any spray. Luckily she didn't lean so far back that she fell. Lecky laughed and nodded, "I'm implying you were quite the comfortable landing. Soft as a pillow." She continued to tease pretending to hide her grin behind the mug as she took another drink. Nothing much could be down about the glint in her eyes though.

Otrox grunted,"I'll keep that in mind. I'm not one of the quiet ones. What you see is what you get." The big black tom got comfortable in his seat, roughly confident that he wasn't going to do another ungraceful flip backwards. Once he was positive he had his balance, not that falling in front of anybody was enough to embarrass him, but he did need to be careful or he'd be in recovery for weeks, instead of mere days. And spending weeks with Jellylorum? That was a scenario that just begged to be concluded in an arena with the classic 'to the death' being chanted by the audience.
So with the state of his body/injuries distantly in mind, he risked leaning back just so to get more relaxed. Tipping his head back he guzzled the rest of the beer down comforted by the slow burn in his throat. Otrox looked around, but noticed all the rest of the mugs were either empty or occupied. Placing the mug onto the table, harder then necessary he waved over one of the lads who served the drinks. "Do you need or want anymore?" He asked Electra. The tom taking his sweet old time coming over to their table. Otrox did raise both of his eyebrows at the darker queen.
"Oh? A pillow am I?" He supposed he could take that as a compliment. He knew for certain she wasn't flirting with or coming on to him. He had a strange suspicion that Electra was out of his league, or that two cats as different as they were, were never suppose to ever even attempt at a relationship beyond friendly acquaintance's. He was so in deep thought over this that he didn't realize that his brows had furrowed and he was glowering at his mug as though his stare alone would melt it into boiling liquid.

Lectra managed to reign in the slight snort at the idea of Otrox being considered a quiet cat much like she was. While this was their first time interacting and despite the short time it'd taken, it was incredibly easy to determine that the larger tom was in fact very much not in the category of quiet. In fact the idea was nearly laughable. "So blood and drinking then?" She quipped with a little grin. They're interaction could very well be summed up in those words. Though being quiet it wasn't as if she had ever sought to deceive others, they simply tended to make assumptions. It happened.
The dark queen watched as Otrox quickly finished the rest of his drink and glance down at her own only half empty mug. "No, no I'm good thanks." She commented absently with a small shake of her head and absently brushed her headfur back a bit. While she didn't really mind beer despite it not being her favourite, it really didn't like her afterwards. And besides, she hadn't lost any of the drink to spitting it out like some other cats.
"Yes, that is what I called you." She reaffirmed lightly, refocusing on the current conversation at her. Though she only refocused to see Otrox glaring at his mug. Her brow furrowed in confusion as the out of place glare, unless he was really opposed to being a pillow. She reached out and snapped in front of him, hoping to draw his attention away from attempting to melt the mug.

Otrox huffed slightly, though wasn't nearly as offended by her decline as he was making things out to be. Nevertheless, he did glower at the waiter as soon as the tom got there. He had taken his sweet time getting there, and Otrox wasn't happy with it. He preferred his booze to be on time. "I'd like another." He pushed the mug in the tom's direction. He was a black and white tom, who picked up the mug with reluctance. "Another what?" Otrox groaned inwardly,"Give me something strong."
God help me, and god save the poor black and white tom from my wrath if he doesn't start scurrying away...right...NOW! Otrox thought bitterly in his head. The tom must have picked up on it subconsciously, because his butt was figuratively lit on fire and he rushed to the back room for some more alcohol for the burly dark tom. Otrox shifted his eyes onto Electra, and gave her a half smirk. "Well you would know." He had easily slipped back into the conversation. "You were laying on me for quite some time." His eyebrows raised up, almost in a flirtatious way, but Otrox and flirting didn't exactly go hand in hand, so it wasn't quite up to par.

Electra felt for the poor waiter that Otrox was directing his ire towards, her eyes following him as he suddenly decided that getting another drink for Otrox right then would be smart. However Electra didn't comment, that would most likely lead to some kind of confrontation and the dark queen really preferred not being involved in them. So she simply sipped at her own drink quietly. Though Lectra did silently wonder whether alcohol made Otrox an angrier cat or less angry and more ambivalent cat.
Since Electra had been mid-drink at Otrox's comment she choked slightly as she attempted to laugh before fully swallowing the liquid. She bent forward slightly as the dark queen tried to clear her throat; it took a moment or two before she actually managed to recover and take a breath. "That is what you consider 'quite some time'?" She shook her head, smiling slightly to herself before relaxing back into her seat and smirking at the dark tom "I've half a mind to feel sorry for your bedmates." If he wanted to bring the conversation there, she may as well go with it and have fun. Maybe the alcohol was relaxing her, but she was enjoying her conversation with Otrox and may as well have some fun. After all, as much as she loved the junkyard there were very few opportunities when she could use her wit like this. Especially since she was only comfortable letting her wit out in the company of small numbers. Very small numbers.

Otrox had half a mind to throw his empty glass at the waiter as he retreated, but opted to do a mock salute to his retreating form. Rolling his eyes dramatically, his attention went back to Electra. His eyebrow went up at Electra's question and her cattiness. Ironically, feeling spurned on and intrigued by such behavior, rather then getting angry and blowing up in her face. "I'll feel sorry for you if you end up becoming one."
Otrox snipped back, though the somewhat friendly tone of his voice and his playful leer were back. He was still surprised by how comfortable he felt around the dark beauty, but another drink or two in him would make him not care how human or emotional he was appearing to the jellicle queen. It wasn't long before the waiter came back and handed him not one but two new glasses of alcohol and rushed off before spending any more time with Otrox then he had to.
Otrox took another long swig, grinning a half grin. "Works every time." The burly tom was use to getting two for the price of one, just to avoid incidents with his temper. While he sipped at his new booze, he kept eye contact with Electra over the rim of his glass. "How long are you staying out tonight, before going back to your yard, Darlin'?"

Silently Electra thanked the fact that Otrox's ego didn't appear too wounded with her comment. Or if it was, he took it with a grain of salt and not a serious insult. And if his lightened tone of voice was any indication she shouldn't worry about accidentally offending the dark tom. Now the dark queen was definitely glad that she'd managed to get out of the yard without causing a stir or being noticed. "Oh now, with a good ol' can do attitude and some enthusiasm I'm sure you could improve." She quipped.
She paused as the waiter suddenly reappeared with two drinks? She glanced between the dark tom, the waiter and the drinks one or twice before raising a single brow. "That charm just comes in so handy doesn't it?" It apparently did work wonders, and Electra absently wondered what other wonders his 'charm' could produce. At least there was less injuries this time round.
Almost daintily the dark queen shrugged, quite honestly she hadn't had a plan beyond 'get out of the yard undetected and get some fresh air'. Though the wording seemed a little odd, with a different tone it could have sounded like a subtle 'how long before I'm rid of you', but his tone wasn't quite right for that. "I didn't exactly plan out my evening." As she answered Electra tilted her head slightly, attempting to figure out whether that was supposed to be the subtle hint but if the alcohol had changed his tones.

The burly tom rolled his shoulders, the joints once more stiffening up and aching. This new development had him guzzling down the rest of his alcohol, only to reach for the second glass and start on it. Though he was back to sipping it, rather then inhaling it. A few more minutes and all aches, pain, and stiffness would be the furthest from his mind. He arched a disbelieving eyebrow up at Electra. "Improve. Me?" Otrox chuckled under his breath at that. "My dear princess, that would be the definition of impossible."
The black tom rested his head in his paw as he watched Electra. He could hear the sarcasm in her voice, but that only made things more fun. "Just wait until I'm using the charm on you." He didn't have enough booze in him to wink at her, but definitely had enough in him to smile; really smile at her. He had the naughty thoughts that he was entertaining in his head as well. But the smile was more enjoyment. And spoke nothing of sexual undertones.
But at her statement of an unplanned evening, Otrox's smile grew wider. He took another long swig of his beer his eyes never leaving her face. There was an intensity behind them, but the meaning behind his intense stare was fleeting. He set his mug down and paused. Hesitation wasn't something he was accustomed to, and rejection was something he was use to, but he found himself for the briefest of moments wondering what he'd do if she said no. "In that case, would you like to dance?" He asked.

By now Electra had nearly finished her drink, and considering that she didn't drink very often her tolerance for alcohol was lower. Being small didn't exactly help her either. Not that Lectra was really complaining, it simply meant that it took less time to accomplish the goal of that wonderful, loose, happy feeling. And the dark queen could definitely feel the warmth from the alcohol. With this and her focus on the dark tom, much of the tavern had simply faded into the background.
The grin that curled her lips spoke of nothing but mischief, "It's only impossible with that attitude. There's always room for improvement." She momentarily thought about adding on 'feathers' in reference to calling him a pillow but decided against it for now. She hadn't had quite enough alcohol for that. And it'd probably only loop things back around in the conversation to where the two had just come from. The dark queen's smile widened slightly in response to the smile from Otrox, and Electra couldn't help but notice the way the smile changed and brightened his face with the expression. " Hmm, well that'll be a sight. Your violence and fear inducing charm, that must have interesting affect on queens."
The fleeting intensity hadn't gone unnoticed by Lectra how had already been studying his face. Though she was much too focused on his eyes, and with the way the alcohol was blurring whatever she wasn't focusing on the dark queen barely noticed Otrox's hesitance. Instead she once again glanced around the tavern, almost seemingly to re-notice the fact that they were in a rather busy tavern having been wrapped up in their little bubble. It took a moment or two to focus back in on the fact that she had been asked a question by the dark tom. With a quick glance to him, she finished the bit of her drink and stood up smiling. "That sounds like quite a good time."

Otrox eye's lit up and he took another swig of his alcohol, the burn no longer bothering him as it went down his throat. He too got up, still aware of the other patrons in the tavern, but inebriated enough to not care. Not that he'd care sober either. He'd been enough taverns and bars, and had done quite a bit sober and drunk in them. Enough that he did have a reputation, even in the bars that he didn't frequent.
The black tom combed his claws through his mane, as he searched for a open place that did allow dancing as well as other entertainment. Did it offer that? Otrox didn't care, he was going to show the girl a good time and was determined to have a good time himself. He smirked and slide his paw over hers, before holding it firmly in his own. Then he lead the dark beauty towards the corner.
There were no tables there, and aside from the aisle's for patrons and waiters to walk through, it was one of the only open spaces in the joint. Otrox spoke low. "Hope this is alright." He gently placed his paws around her waist, just above them. Not in a perverted way, but not too high to make her think he wasn't interested in her. And he assumed it was obvious now, that he was interested in her; in a sexual way, to have conversations with, to have fun with, to have an actual friend. One of them.
His smile was easy on his face. As he looked into her eyes. "Slow or fast?" He expected fast dancing. Slow dancing was more for significant others, or those wanting to get some. It was far more intimate and there wasn't much between them to indicate that intimacy was there. And with alcohol in him, he was more inclined to do whatever the queen wanted; to make the queen happy. He licked at his lips, tasting the trace amounts of alcohol there while he waited for Electra to speak.
((There's a tiny bit of godmodding, honey. But with dancing it's hard to avoid. Let me know if you wish me to edit those parts out.))

((no worries darling, it's next to impossible with dancing))
While the dark queen wasn't exactly a stranger to dark taverns and alcohol, or dancing with cats she'd just met. Though she'd never quite had such a conversation as the one she'd had with Otrox. Despite her vague familiarity with the taverns and bars that were far enough away from the Yard that it may take a small while until a cat realized she was a Jellicle and far enough away that the dark queen wouldn't be seen by some of the cats in the tribe more known for or expected to be in a tavern, Electra most definitely did not have any kind of reputation. That took too much attention to accomplish, and even when drinking Electra did not enjoy a lot of attention for a lot of cats. She'd always been a lot more comfortable from attention from a very small number of cats.
It did make Electra happy that despite the fact that the dark queen had taken a bit of time in answering his question, Otrox didn't seem bothered by it. Maybe he hadn't noticed, or had noticed her glancing around the tavern at all the - luckily - unfamiliar cats. Lectra easily let him lead her wherever it was he had in mind, not really all too worried over it. Besides, with Otrox larger than her it made quite an easy path for her to follow through the other cats in the tavern.
And as his paw wrapped on her waist Electra leaned into the dark tom and nodded, her smile still on her face. Now standing, the dark queen found herself having to look up to actually speak to the dark tom. Lectra let her paws rest on his chest and let her smile shift slightly to a smirk as she began to move her body with a faster pace, easily finding a rhythm. "Let's see if you can keep up with a Jellicle." Okay, so it was a little bit of a challenge but she had no doubt that Otrox would be up for it. Electra had an inkling that the challenge and faster pace of dancing would definitely lead to fun. Rememberable fun.

Although Otrox did like and prefer to slow dance, even while intoxicated. He couldn't find it in himself to be disappointed. It was Electra, and the beer. Probably, mostly the beer. Still, a lazy, almost lopsided grin crossed his face when Electra began to pick up speed and flow evenly to the beat she was creating. The tall burly tom was always the polar opposite of his personality while he was drinking.
His own body began to move to the beat she set up, his paws easily moving off her body; away from the intimacy it may have implied. His paws moved above his head as he spun around and then reached out his paw to Electra, not taking it. He left it up to her. But even has he waited half a beat for Electra to take his paw, his hips swayed to the beat.
((Okay, not the best. But I didn't want to do a bunch of paragraphs of both of them dancing. As I didn't want to godmod. *hugs*))

While Electra didn't exactly love to sing too much - not having the same amazing voice as some of her tribe and not wanting that attention - she'd always loved and thoroughly enjoyed dancing. Which coincidentally made it easier for her to create a beat to dance to. And she happily noticed that Otrox had seemed to be able to pick up on it as well. Seeing that he was in fact going along with her beat and his little spin had the dark queen smiling and she let out a short delighted laugh before taking his paw - this time without the hesitation.
((I am soooo sorry this took so long >.<))
