Solus sat outside breathing calmly as his senses taking in everything, natural and supernatural. He purred a little as his tail laid at his side calmly.

Hoping to catch even a small break from the goings-on in the Warehouse, Uhura had slipped away towards the area near the city. What with everyone's preoccupation with the captured Jellicles, there seemed to be nothing useful for her to do at the moment. It was dangerous to hang around looking useless. Perhaps she could spend some quiet time, look around a bit, something might turn up for her to do. The dark queen paused, suddenly catching sight of another cat. She had thought this area deserted. Unfortunately, taking a step back, her paw stepped on a crunchy leaf. She watched Solus to see if he noticed; he'd probably have had to be deaf not to hear the noise.

Solus sat there his white fur glistening in the light of day. Him being a mainecoon gave him a broad and intimidating appearance and if you were to actually see his face his emotionless state would seem normal among henches but his misty gray eyes would either seem to examine your soul or look through you like you wasn't there. He sat there doing nothing but breathing,he heard the leaf but barely reacted his ears just twitched a little. He didn't know whether or not a spirit had come to him or a actually cat,it all seemed the same to him. And so he just sat there deciding not to fret about it.

Thankfully, Solus didn't seem to notice her - or, if he did, he didn't care. Uhura was even more relieved when she took a closer look and realised who it was: that weird tom who thought he talked to spirits or something like that. Then again, it wasn't much stranger than her own past according to Cora - traveling in space and all that. In any case, even if she made herself known to Solus, he would most likely be too busy to bother her. And it wasn't as if this were the tom's personal thinking-space: Uhura could come here too if she pleased. So she crept forward and sat several feet from the tom, but where he would see her if he bothered to turn his head. She didn't care if he did or not: if he didn't, she could sit quietly and think; if he did, he wouldn't likely pay her much attention anyhow and she could still sit quietly and think.

Solus could feel her come closer but the fact that she stayed silent is what told him most that she most likely wasn't a spirit. He shifted his eyes towards her taking in her dark figure. That was the queen who, like many others, thought he was crazy. He couldn't blame them but it's not like he was void of feelings either. He looked at the queen but it seemed like he could have staring past her at something else his dreamy gaze never exactly exposing what those mist gray eyes we're seeing. He liked her eye color, the silver streaks in the black, her feminine yet built form. " Beautiful" he murmured softly. But his comment shhouldnt be taken too personally, for he often said the first thing that came to mind. As solus was,he usually thought out loud. His deep whisper of a voice,if not only that, made seem like a living ghost.

Automatically, Uhura's head snapped up, a suspicious glare alight in her eyes as she surveyed the tom again. In her experience, toms only spoke that way when they meant to manipulate her. She let her features relax, however, when she recalled who the tom was. Solus was likely not even thinking of her, but of something in whatever odd zone he lived in. She turned her head away from Solus once more, but felt she should say at least something since she had so obviously reacted to what he had said. So she pretended to think he had been referring to the weather. Looking up at the sky, she replied gruffly, loud enough for Solus to hear, but soft enough that he might think she was merely talking to herself, "Indeed, though I think it might rain later."

When solus heard the queen respond he couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle, she thought he meant the weather. He didn't focus on her but responded with his ghostly voice, soft and deep with a eerie yet mesmerizing tune to it " I was talking about you silly. I think you're beautiful uhura" he then looked around being distracted by her topic of weather. "it does seem it will rain soon, the thunder has a bright purple aura today. " he sighed there he went again with his strange talk. "maybe that's the reason I haven't had many guest today" the Tom wasn't talking to anyone in particular but just spouting random thoughts. He sighed and then something clicked in his head and he looked at her, actually looked at her. " hey, uhura" he began " You don't have to worry about me...in that way. " he stared at her to make sure she understood.

Uhura glanced sideways at him. Was "electro-tom," as she often called him in her mind, actually making ordinary conversation? What an odd occurrence. It was certainly interesting, but now he was trying to persuade her that she was in no danger from him "in that way," which made her feel incredibly awkward. Of all things, why did the tom who she thought could be depended on to ignore her presence choose today to become conversational? "Uh...right," she mumbled with a non-committal shrug. She didn't know how else to reply so went on abruptly, "Any significant auras today besides the weather?" Maybe Solus could sense something interesting going on, an opportunity to do something important for Macavity, capture a Jellicle or some such notion.

Solus stared at her a little longer before going back to staring forward as if the previous moment was just a dream. But of course from being asked a question he kept talking so he could answer " There are multiple things happening but none really deem important, some new energy has spouted from inside particularly romantic ones, aggressive ones, and surprisingly innocent ones the last one I suppose coming from kittens." he stated briefly. With a single sway of his tail it was silent again and he went back to whatever he was doing before he began speaking, however mumbles of thought would escape him suddenly.

"Interesting," Uhura muttered, likewise returning to silence. She intended not to speak again unless she was directly addressed. She arranged herself into a more relaxed position, though still remaining alert to her surroundings; it was never a good idea to let oneself become vulnerable.

Solus never laid down anywhere but his quarters,he just sat there still like a statue with an occasional sway of his tail or a blink of his eyes. He stared at the sky deep in his thoughts until suddenly " RUN!" he cried out louder than known possible for solus to achieve and with that he stood and spun in the opposite direction running under a type of shelter. He peered out to see if uhura would follow. What he had sensed was rain, very hard rain, and it was coming fast. Solus hated the rain,it was like being touched a million times over and it messed up his fur, which always lead to someone else offering to do it. Of course when that happened he would bluntly deny them.

Uhura was so startled by Solus's sudden yell that she leapt to her feet immediately and followed him. She dove into the shelter without question and then peered out, certain she'd see some sort of awful pursuer coming. When nothing untoward happened, she glared at the tom. She was angry with him for frightening her without cause, but angrier with herself for seeming so weak and frightened. "Just what are you playing at? There's nothing--" At that moment the rain began.

Solus sighed in relief when she followed but soon felt his relief crushed when she got mad at him and started yelling. He just watched her startled on the inside but blank on the outside. Suddenly in the middle of her rant she was cut off by the rain, the rain he had foreseen and warned her about. As she stopped and stared in disbelief at the rain solus felt a smirk creep on his face.

Uhura had to move further under the shelter in order to keep her back half from getting soaked. Looking out at the downpour, she saw why he had told her to run. But why had he made it sound like such an emergency? Of course it was inconvenient to get rained on, but it wasn't a matter of life and death. She had almost rather have stayed outside and got wet than be stuck in such close quarters with the weird tom or any tom for that matter. Still, no doubt his intentions had been sound. "Thanks," she muttered. She couldn't help adding, "But a bit of rain never hurt anyone."

Solus could feel the ghost of a smirk disappear from his face "You can go back out into the rain if you feel it isn't a big deal" he stated bluntly. "But I for one. hate rain" he said as he stared out at the storm. He shivered slightly as all went quite except for the pattering of the downpour
