Victoria had silently slipped away from the gathering at the tire. Though she liked the presence of the others, everything she had witnessed there was kinda overwhelming for the white queen. Especially seeing Old Deuteronomy reunited with Munkustrap's mother. Victoria sighed softly as she flitted from shadow to shadow towards her secret place, the small clearing in the heart of the junkyard that she had found and none of the others seem come to. Here she had time to herself, time to think, time to dance and most important hiding away from her sometimes overbearing brother. Yes, she loved her brother fiercely, but since they had joined the junkyard... She couldn't understand why he was supposed to be allowed to do everything, even things she thought improper and she, she should sit at best at their human's home, never seeing the others and even be glad about it. She didn't understand nor like these double values her brother was representing.
Victoria finally reached her place. After she entered the clearing she waited in a corner to see if someone had followed her. She always did that when she came here. Only when she thought to be sure she stepped in the middle of the clearing and quickly fell into the first position of classical dance. She held the position for a while, letting the recent conversation run through her mind before she moved fluidly into the next position.

Thomas moved swiftly, through the junkyard. His stubbornness had been the only thing to keep him upright and get him out of the infirmary. He knew they weren't happy with him bugging out of 'recovery', but he couldn't and didn't want to sit still. Merton had put up a bit of a fight, but when he left the den, Merton was resting. Not peacefully, the tom had been muttering about alien abductions on the local jellicle population.
He shook his head, with a smirk on his face. The tom was odd, but well Merton was HIS odd friend. He still felt weaker then normal, but that didn't cause him to turn around and head back to the healers den. Instead, he had been exploring the junkyard, his new home. He wasn't sure if he was fully accepted there yet, or if there were someone he needed to speak to first. But a little harmless exploration seemed alright...assuming he didn't get lost.
His path led him down another and another, until he was certain he didn't know how to get back to the healer's den to check on his friend. However, it did lead him to a pretty white queen. Perhaps she would be able to help him, after some time away at least. "You're a dancer?" Tommy had no idea that these Jellicles could dance.

Victoria froze in mid movement. someone had found her here. Like ice she felt a shiver running through her. And she didn't recognize the voice. With a deliberate slow move she changed from the position she had stopped in, into a normal standing position facing the ... tom ... that had spoken.
Victoria looked the tom over. She had been right - the voice didn't belong to someone she knew. She hadn't seen this tom anywhere on the junkyard before. Usually she wouldn't worry, as no one could get past the guardians so deep into the junkyard, but today? Today with the warning out that queens get kidnapped.
So she remained wearily in a pose ready to bolt if the need arises.
"Yes, I am a dancer...My name is Victoria. Who are you and how did you get here."
Her Russian accent very strong from her nervousness.

Thomas watched her intently, surprised by the queen's accent. He couldn't place it, and knew had his buddy been there, Merton would have jumped up in excitement over her accent and rambled on about where she was from; so on and so forth. He was also weary, after everything he, Merton and a few others had just escaped from.
"Names Thomas, Tommy if you like." He gave her a small smile, but still titled his head at her with scrutiny. Shrugging though he told her what she wanted to know. "A group of Jellicles rescued my friend and I from an animal testing center. Wanted to keep me cooped up in the infirmary, but I'm...completely fine."
He walked a little closer to her, if only to lean against the nearest 'wall' of junk. "And you? You don't sound like the rest of them. Where'd you come from?"

Victoria laid her head to the side and took a step back when Tommy got closer, the she sank fluidly to the floor in a stretch position to keep her muscles warm and still rest comfortable.
"What do you mean. I live here at the junkyard for some time now, every time my human isn't home. Me and my brother that is, Yuri...no George, he wants to be called George ever since our human moved from Mother Russia to here."
The longer she spoke the thicker her accent got. At the end her English was almost unintelligible.

Thomas gaze on her went from silent studying to confusion fast. He only caught bits of what she said at the end. He got that she had lived in the junkyard for years, and then something about her mother, and Russia. Where was Merton when he needed him? He sighed at that thought, he was the one who had left Merton behind.
"Ah." He spoke, very bluntly and not elegant at all. "Isn't Russia that little bar, downtown in the city?" Yeah, he was definitely wishing that Merton were there. He knew the moment those words left his mouth they were the wrong ones to say. Merton was the brains of their duo, he had no delusions about that.

Victoria got a very confused look on her face, when Tommy said that Russia were a ...bar? She changed her sitting position in to another stretch and laid her head slightly to the side. She took a deep breath and tried to control her accent. With slow words and distinct words she said:
"Why... Why would Mother Russia be a bar? it is Russia, my home country far in the east on the continent. Have you never heard of Russia?"

Thomas ears flattened slightly, when she responded to his...slip up. Yes. His slip up. Rubbing the back of his neck nervously his lips quirked upward in an equally nervous grin. "I guess...not. I, have heard it in passing." He sighed,"Merton would know." It was the main reason he dragged the black-ginger tom with him and kept him save. He dealt with all the technical mumbo jumbo, so he wouldn't have to.
"So you're from Russia...? What's that like?"

Victoria changed position again, but this time curling herself in a circle with an energy that mirrored the happy memories of her home country that ran through her mind with Tommy's question. She really now showed a warm and open smile as she wallowed in reminiscences.
"Oh Russia ... Mother Russia is wonderful. It was wonderful living there." Even fully without her consciousness though she got to her feet and started a full high ballet routine with her eyes closed.
"The time I spend there with my human. The times we shared in the dance studio practicing. The times when I could watch her perform at the ballet or the opera and where I could still dance with her...We ... I were so happy there. Dancing ... our dancing was something special there. we were special..."
Victoria's voice faded away as she lost herself more in more in the dance she was performing, like the prima ballerina her mistress had been in Moscow.

Thomas watched in silent wonder as Victoria stood up, eyes closed and began to dance. He did follow every movement her body preformed. Though he did not feel compelled to get up and dance with her or mimic her dancing. Only thing that'd get him to dance would be a girlfriend prodding him about it, or some subtle persuasion from Merton.
Some words went over his head, either from lack of interest or her heavy accent; Tommy wasn't sure. He did look at her in puzzlement, knowing she wouldn't be able to see his confusion with her eyes closed. Rubbing the back of his neck with his paw, nervously he spoke up, trying to cut through whatever haze or trance she seemed to be in. "Call me stupid, but if you loved it and you were that happy there...why'd you leave?"
((Sorry...didn't notice that you had replied.))

Victoria slowly returned out of the trance her dance had put her in. It took her a while to realize that Thomas had asked her another question. Finally freezing in a final pose she tried to remember what he had asked...
Why we leave? My mistress wanted to move to England. She wanted to dance here, being a star of her own and not the star of a group. And my love for her is ... was greater than my love to Mother Russia, or our dances there.
She broke her pose and settled back on the ground in front of him, still continuing to stretch while doing so, keeping her muscles warm.
"And I have found ... love... here, too. I love the tribe and I continue to dance here, so ... not so much has changed, da?"

Tommy watched the movements of her paws, appreciating her beauty, but not in any real or obvious sense. He nodded dumbly to her words on Russia and the Junkyard. Half of which he wasn't sure if he heard her correctly. "Ah...I guess when you put it that way." With his eyes shifting, he gave out a nervous sigh. "Just how long have you been here in this Junkyard? I only ask because I just got here, not even two hours ago." He rather felt like a newbie to the whole idea of a community, and he was glad Merton wasn't around to comment on THAT.

Victoria laid her head to the side. How long were her brother and herself now with the junkyard? Since when had they left the life she had known all her life behind? she looked slightly puzzled before she could referenced the number of Jellicle balls she had been part of. They had arrived shortly before the ball, that had been the ball right before the one with Grizabella's ascension. So they were now more than a year here, almost two.
The snow white queen smiled to the young tom before her.
"Almost two years now. Time has passed so quickly, I can barely remember it go by."
again she laid her head to the side.
"So, tell me something about you. Do you want to stay with the junkyard, now that you are here?"
