This was a rare moment of peace for the queen. All seemed to be calm within the yard, and she could be found with little to do. The endless patrols had taken there toll upon her, and at the moment she just sought solace and silence within the yard. That was the difficult part. Although it was quiet, the kittens and the other cats never seemed to stop there playing or talking. Only a handful of points within the yard were quiet, and Safa seeked each one. Atop the car, Misto was playing with rats. Within the oven some of the kittens slumbered, so the queen treked through the soppy mud and came upon the pipe, a slow trickle of drain water leaking from its mouth, cutting a small river within the dirt of the yard. Yellow leaves trailed along its waters, like small boats upon the tide. Yes, here would be perfect. Leaping upon the rusted surface of the pipe, the Queen arched her back and gave a quiet mew of content, feeling each bone within her spine crack and then settle within place. Collapsing upon her stomach, the queen nestled her face within the mud coated paws, breathing in the scent of earth, remembering home. Small moments of peace like this brought more pleasure then anything else. And for the first time in days, Safa closed her eyes.

Alyssa wandered around, munching her rat, until she came to an old rusty pipe. And found another cat resting there. Well, this was interesting. Maybe there were cats actually living here? Alyssa went up and tapped the queen on the shoulder. "Hello?" she said in a loud whisper.

Within moments of resting the queen knew that it was short lived, for the scent of another queen reached her pink nose and her eyes opened. And there she was. Rat coated muzzle and all. Wrinkling her nose, the queens claws sunk into the old metal, scraping against the rust of the pipe. “Hello…” She sneered through clentched teeth. “And goodbye in the same breath.”

Alyssa winced at the sound of the other queen's nails scraping the metal. Well, someone was sure in a bad mood. "Uh-oh, looks like someone needs a hug," she giggled. But she didn't give one. This cat looked like she might tear her apart if she even put one paw forward. For a rare moment, Alyssa slipped into a semi-polite mode. "Well, hi, I'm Alyssa, and I was just wondering what's up with all these cats hanging around the dump. Do y'all live here or something?" She'd lived in London so long now, she'd almost forgotten she was American. But she was reminded of it when it came out in her talking.

“If you wish to know the history of the Jellicles…I suggest you find another cat to bother.” Safa snapped, her fur raising at the ‘hug’ comment. The queens guess was right. If she laid a paw upon the butter-cream queen she would have found herself drifting down that little river with the golden leaves. The littler queens attitude and bouncy enthusiasm was enough to drive Safe to find another peaceful spot to call her own. “So…I’m sure there are plenty of other cats that would adore being annoyed by you….so shove off…”

Sheesh, what a grouch! "Well fine, grumpykins, I'll just be on my way." And Alyssa sauntered off to explore another part of the dump, muttering under her breath. Well, this was lovely. One cat wouldn't talk to her, the other was a jerk. Did she want to meet any of the others? And what the heck was a Jellicle? ((exit Alyssa...she'll be going...somewhere))

Was it really that easy to get rid of another cat? If only the Jellicles were that quick. But no. Whenever any of them stumbled upon her, it was always a conversation. Mostly one sided. Them asking just why she was so cruel and silent. Her answers were short and sharp. There was no need to drag anything on that she didn’t care about. As far as Safa was concerned, she was given a cruel hand by fate. Thrusted into the yard, lost from home, and with little else to do or no where else to go. She had been within the yard for almost a year now, although she might as well have not existed. The graveyard shifts were hers, allowing the other to rest with there families at night. During the day she was found in secluded place like this, just resting. Thinking. The little yellow leaves carried down through the yard, the occasional red catching her attention.

((Sure I'll join ;D ))
Stokley walked towards the pipe and sat beside it. She had nothing better to do other then stare into space. What joy... She tapped her nails against the pipe's metal surface creating a beat that she hummed to. She wasn't one for singing, but she enjoyed a good beat every now and then.

Her moment of peace was far too short lived, as she heard the distinct sound of nails upon the pipe. The noise echoed through the hollow tube, and rang out as clear as day. What was wrong with people? Seriously! Her ears pressed against her skull tightly as she gave into defeat and slinked from the pipe, her paws sinking into the mud once more. With a growl, the queen tried to think of where to rest next.

Stokley stopped tapping when she heard movement; it was close by. Closer then close by. She saw a queen get out from inside the pipe and watched her curiously. Had she been sitting there all along or had she been in the sewers? She stayed hidden watching the queen. Finally, she leapt ontop the top of the pipe and said, "Um... Hi?"

Oh dear god the place was infested with cats that wanted to be friendly. Safa’s shoulder rose as she turned her head, looking to the new queen that was so keen on a conversation. “Hello. If your going to greet someone might as well have confidence in your statement…less you sound weak.” The butter-cream cat snapped before even realizing what she was really saying.

"Well I didn't know who the hell you were!" Stokley snapped at her, "For all I know, you could be a hench! Like I want conversation with a hanchcat ya'know?" She jumped down facing the queen. She glared at her looking iritated, "No need to get all angery about it! I just said hi, is that a crime?"

"If I wanted you dead you would be dead." Was her reply to that statment. Really, if there was a hentch who wanted one of these cats dead, would they be so lazy as to have a conversation before killing them and doing there job? If so Macavity was letting his own slip up and bring shame to him and his so called...legend.
