Name: Macavity
Age: Adult
Tribe: Hench
Position: Henchcat Leader
Family: Old Deuteronomy (Father), Munkustrap (Half Brother), Jemima (Half Sister)
Appearance: Disheveled and a little roughed up would probably be the nicest way to put his appearance. It is not uncommon for Macavity to prioritize his responsibilities and aims as a leader ahead of something like grooming. His whiskers often go uncombed and his mane is grown out and dreaded, which he prefers for the minimal upkeep required. He has strong angular features and bright gold eyes.
Macavity is a tall tom with a lean, defined build. Not quite big enough to be considered bulky, he built more for speed and precision rather than brute strength. He is quite fluid in his movements and holds himself with a confident and self-assured posture. While most of his fur is ginger, Macavity also has golds, creams, and blacks throughout his coat.
Human Appearance:Aaron Taylor-Johnson -->
Personality: Despite the different colouring when interacting with Macavity it becomes more obvious that he is the son of Deuteronomy from the sheer force of his personality and charisma, two attributes that he inherited from his father. Macavity's personality is a solid one and can be a rather dominating force when he wants it to. The ginger tom is also increibly charismatic, compelling in a way that draws attention to him and which lends itself greatly to leading a tribe of unruly cats. It is his charisma that sways others into following and obeying him as a leader and was evident in hs personality from a young age. Macavity seems to possess a silver tongue in his capabilities to persuade the actions of those around him.
His charisma is heightened by the intelligence that Macavity possesses, making him both compelling and rational to listen to. Macavity's intelligence allows him to work through and analyze problems rather quickly. Both of these qualities tend to come out in his speech and way of leading - usually working problems out with concern for as many different sides as he can realistically control for and with weighing different pros and cons of his actions. However, it also allows Macavity to talk without actually saying anything; which does to often get a rise or reaction out of those around him. Goading them into revealing something carelessly in their ire at his talking in circles. Macavity finds it surprisingly effective. Or lending itself to getting a better read on the intentions of others - what they interpret out of his circles can offer some insight into their own mental process. Either way, Macavity intelligence is wickedly sharp and wielded with efficiency. This charisma also lends itself towards appearing like a respectable leader, one who has earned his spot and the loyalty of the cats beneath him - even is not all cats agree with that image.
From a young age Macavity was focused on his goals and relentlessly driven to make them a reality. His goals were there to be achieved, not just dreamed and thought about. The ginger tom is driven and focus on his goals, willing to construct complex and long-term machinations in order to see them achieved, and achieved well. He isn't about half measures or shotty craftsmanship, his goal are important and they should be treated and made reality with that same weight of importance. However Macavity's ambition and focus are often left unchecked by a rigid morality, rather Macavity is morally ambiguous and almost apathetic. He is a tom the believes the ends can justify the means and he is will to bend or break rules, to take risks when the benefits outweigh the costs. Of course there is a line that constitutes too far but the ginger tom hasn't found that yet. The moral ambiguity is bolstered by his intelligence and charisma, allowing Macavity to rationalize choices that would be criticized by more moral cats and bring others to his way of thinking. At least temporarily in regards to some situations.
Overall Macavity is also a confident tom, he knows his abilities and has faith in himself. To accomplish his goals in life, to be prosperous, and simply in general. His confidence is easily displayed in the way that Macavity physically holds himself, in the way he speaks and using his advantages to their most effective. This confidence can be disarming, often making it appear as if Macavity knows something that the cats around him do not. Rarely does Macavity allow himself to doubt his decisions - often because he's spent so long examining them from as many sides as possible. Additionally years of training to take over as leader and to protect the Jellilces in his youth has remained with him despite the way the memories have soured. The ginger tom knows what he is capable of.
Faults: Macavity's intelligence and ambition can, however, border onto obsessiveness, going after his aims with a nearly single-minded focus than can come across as intense to put it likely. With some concerns being able to be at the forefront of Macavity's concerns and have some of his other usual responsibilities slip. It can also lead him to go over and over a problem in order to exhaust all possible outcomes into almost redundancy. His drive can lead him down a wormhole of considering sides and options and outcomes that are irrelevant or next to impossibilities, or to going over the same problems continuously with no solution being found.
He is also quite an antagonistic cat, with no qualms over being disliked because Macavity will stick with his beliefs and outlooks rather than bend to whims of the cats around him for something as simple as being liked. He'll piss off and antagonize a cat who manages to annoy him, or simply for the enjoyment of it. Macavity will gladly twist up a cat in anger, talking circles around them without saying anything real and wait for the other to show a weak spot, to reveal some kind of disadvantage. Macavity isn't a followed leader because he's nice, he's good at what he does.
However his composure can break because oh boy does Macavity have a temper. Explosive and often left unchecked, Macavity's anger is a fuse that you do not want to light. His general lack of stringent morals means that the ginger tom does not hold back in his anger, will not pull punches or words - he is more than happy to physically or verbally express his anger on whoever set it off. And most prominent traits of his personality get caught up here - his natural antagonism turns downright malicious and all that intelligence and charisma are used to drive his points home, finding any advantage he can take over the other cat(s). When Macavity is angry and somewhat (albeit barely) containing the anger it is extremely obvious, his movements turn harsher, and words sharper.
Describing Word: Dastardly
History: Being the eldest son of Deuteronomy, Macavity had expectations since his conception. Macavity took after his mother in appearance, but his father's personality was clear in the kit from a very young age. Even if it came out a bit rougher and almost with an air of reckless abandon.
Comments: la la la off to go look at Mac's face as a reward for cranking this out
