The beautiful crimson beauty moved her paws down her sides, fixing any fur strands out of place from the nights tosses and turns. She yawned silently, having gotten barely any sleep from the night before. But it was morning, the trickles of sunlight came in through the hole in her room and she wasn't going to let some sleepiness stop her from getting up early enough to enjoy her day. Moving towards the door, her weight clomping down with each step taken. She nearly slammed into the frame of the door, instead of going through it; only to stop herself just in time. She smirked to herself, One for me, zero for the glitziness!
She had been oddly proud of herself for not colliding into the door frame five minutes after waking up. Today was going to be a good day; Dimyr thought to herself, as she moved through the door and into the hallway. Though she hadn't been paying attention, too excited for the day and her brief accomplishment. She hadn't seen the rounded object and her foot ran into it. Her hands flailed upwards as the rest of her fell downwards. She had fallen onto her side and she raised up her head slowly. "Ouch."

Fangorn's patrol finished just before dawn, he was heading in to get some shuteye. As he made his way through the lobby, he contemplated the evening and night he had just passed. He thought little of the patrol itself - that had been disappointingly uneventful, with no sign of anything interesting, no tail nor whisker of a Jellicle to be seen. But he had gotten to spend a pleasant bit of time with some lovely queens - until he ruined it by offending one and scaring off the other. Why did queens have to be so complex? he wondered dolefully. Lost in thought, he stopped suddenly, just short of tripping over the fallen Dimyr. "Are you all right?" he asked, extending a paw, offering to help her up. Well, it looked like his chances for impressing queens were endless. Hopefully this one would go a bit better, though he wished he could have had a nap first.

Dimyr's head snapped up as soon as she heard a new voice, and instantly regretted her snap automatic response. Her paw came up to rub at her kinked neck before she pushed up with her unoccupied paw enough to see his outstretched paw. That had seemed incredibly kind and gentlemanly. She took a hold of it after she was satisfied with the relief rubbing her neck had brought her. "Thank you." She blushed slightly, though with her crisp scarlett fur, you'd only be able to tell from the way her ears slanted slightly to the side. "Um. Yes. In answer to your question. I am definitely alright. That's a typical morning." She added in what she normally responded after being asked if she was alright. "Are you alright?" It took her a double-take to realize how Blull that sounded. "I mean...I've seen you around before." In those desperate tiny moments in time when her mother let her out of her room to tour one or two hallways of the warehouse, or to go out back, outside. "But I'm afraid I don't know your name."

After helping Dimyr to her feet, he watched her with interest - more from curiosity than anything else at the moment. He didn't know much about her, but he had seen her around and was fairly certain she was the "sheltered queen" that he occasionally heard talk of. Apparently her mother had tried to protect her as much as possible from being exposed to anything dangerous, bad...in short, anything that was typical everyday occurrence here. It was a rather futile mission, Fangorn thought. No, they weren't all constantly killing each other here in the warehouse, but it certainly wasn't anywhere to raise a kit in "blissful ignorance" of the true state of the world. Dimyr'd be better off among the Jellicles if that was the kind of life her mother wanted for her. Still, she was rather pretty, her clumsiness a cross between cute and amusing. Fang certainly didn't object to her presence in the warehouse or the opportunity to speak with her. Aloud, he merely said, "True, I don't believe we have had the pleasure of being introduced. My name is Fangorn. And yours?"

Dimyr wasn't completely oblivious; she had noticed him staring. And even if she didn't, she would have felt his eyes beating down on her from his intense gaze. Her eyes lit up though when he responded to her. He was talking with her. She is sure she socialized with others during her childhood and growing up into the young adult she just became. But for the life of her, most of the conversations she remembered having were with her mother, or one of her stuffed dolls. Dimyr was pleasantly surprised that he was stopping long enough to introduce himself, even though that was most likely due to the fact that she sort of did ask for his name. Sort of. Pleased, and happy, she grabbed onto his paw, with both of her paws. She learned from somewhere that it was expected when first introductions were made to shake paws. And shake she did. Probably too enthusiastically, but she didn't and wouldn't know if it were. "Ohhh! Oh my jollies. It is very nice to meet you. My name's Dimyr!" She was flashing him a thousand watt grin, from ear to ear. Her emerald eyes sparkling as she looked up at him. Her golden-scarlett mane bounced as she shook Fangorn's paw, up until the moment she let go of it.
((First off, I am really sorry. There is a little bit of godmodding, with her grabbing his paw to shake it. So if you would like me to edit that out. I can.))

((No problem at all. ) Fangorn was caught slightly off-guard by the paw-shake - it wasn't as if he'd never heard of such a thing, he'd seen his fair share of humans. But he generally found it silly when he noticed cats shaking paws. From what he could see, humans said the gesture was simply a polite formality, but everyone knew it was really their way of making sure the other guy wasn't about to pull a weapon on them. In the warehouse, you pretty much always knew someone might have some dirty trick waiting for you, and so you kept your senses alert at all times and never let yourself get too relaxed or trusting. There were plenty of other formal niceties to perform meanwhile for politeness' sake (or to keep up a pretence of politeness as the case may be).
Nevertheless, the paw-shake was what Dimyr had decided to use, so he went along with it. He'd given offense to two queens already, and didn't want to add a third. He couldn't help smiling in amusement at how vigorously she shook his paw. "Pleased to meet you, Miss Dimyr," he said when they had released paws. "And where may you be off to this morning?"

Her eyes grew bigger and she began to laugh shortly after their paw shake. He had called her 'Miss' Dimyr. That wasn't her name and no one had ever used Miss when addressing her before either. She snorted, and then bit her lip to cover up such an embarrassing habit. She was still shyly grinning however. "It's just Dimyr, silly." She punched him lightly on the shoulder, not near enough to hurt at all, but she still gasped at what she had done. "Ohh! I'm so sorry." She had reached out to rub the shoulder she had just punched but blushed at the forwardness of that and dropped her paw.
"Oh I was...hmmm." She stood there staring at Fangorn, with round eyes; that definitely didn't know where she was headed to. She had only been down a couple hallways of the warehouse, and had spent some time outside, but never too far from the door. Never too far from the "safety" of that tiny room. Dimyr made up her mind to just list off a place in the warehouse she was going to. Maybe he'd even escort her there, because she'd surely need it if she didn't want to get lost. Now what were some of those areas her mother use to talk about when she came back to the room after her day...?
Tick, tock. Was unfortunately the only thought in her mind; and she began to fidget when she knew that this had to be the longest time of just staring at someone without saying anything that ever was. "I'm heading...." She finally began, hoping that would have absolved the awkwardness and tension. Come on Dimyr! Name something...anything! She mentally scolded herself. "Left."
