((I don't mind if x2 doesn't ^_^))
Fangorn gazed thoughtfully into the small flame, keeping his ears alert for any unusual sound nearby. "An excellent question," he said. Honestly, he wasn't aware of any particular reason why he would or would not have spoken to or 'hung out' with her before now. However, they had not had much opportunity from what he could tell. He could not remember exactly when Sillabub had joined Macavity's ranks, but he hadn't seen her all that often. And all he had really heard of her was that she was a 'killing-machine who shouldn't be crossed,' or something to that effect. Perhaps, though he would never have admitted this, that had caused him to be less likely to seek out her company. Well. Doubtless she was a 'dangerous killing-machine'...if you were an enemy. And that was just as it should be.
Remembering that he still had not really answered Sillabub's question, he turned back towards her, shrugging his shoulders. "Perhaps," he suggested, again with his crooked grin, "we have been too occupied with other duties. However, now that at least one of our patrol shifts appears to overlap... There may be more chances for us to get better acquainted." He poked at the fire with a stick, enjoying the sparks that got stirred up.

Her eyes lit up slightly, when some of the disturbed embers sparked up. Sillabub shifted into a more comfortable position down beside the fire. Placing her chin onto the back of her paw lightly, she let her eyes drift past the fire setting to stare contentedly at Fangorn. She nodded her head,"Perhaps you're right Fang." Her eyes flicked down to the dead rat, noting it was still where she had left it and then let her eyes stare at the small flames flickering under the wood collected. Wouldn't be long now. Still, she stabbed her unsheathed dagger into the rat again, in preparation of cooking it. Her stomach was growling in anticipation, and her hunger was starting to have her mind wandering to her future meal. She did purr softly and flashed Fangorn her teeth. "Oh we will definitely be getting to know each other better."
((Also, I don't mind a bit if Oracle joins them. ^_^))

Fangorn grinned over at her, enjoying the easy conversation and the way Sillabub's eyes looked by the fireglow. He kicked up a few more sparks with his stick for good measure. "Sounds like an excellent plan." Noticing her begin to fiddle with the dead rat again, he added, "Nearly ready for roasting, is he?"
Just then, his ears flicked back, sensing some slight change in the air. He hadn't exactly heard anything, but was fairly certain there was another creature close by. Apart from his ears, though, Fang endeavoured to show no sign that he'd noticed something - better to let whoever it was think they were undetected for now. "Miss Sillabub," he said casually, in a low voice, "don't look 'round, but I do believe we have company. One of ours, most likely, but you never can tell. If so, they'll make themselves known soon enough. If not... well, I'm sure between the two of us we can apprehend them at the proper moment." He whistled softly, continuing to mess around with the fire. Hopefully she wouldn't be miffed at him: he realised it did sound a bit like he was giving her orders, but he had simply wanted to make her aware of the situation.
((sort of implied that he's noticing Oracle approach, if that's ok Kitt. If not, I'll change it.))

((Still going by the impression that Oracle is joining this thread. But not sure if it's still going to happen?))
Sillabub had been fiddling around with the rat out of boredom,, but she wasn't about to tell Fangorn that. Her smile did light up her eyes though. No matter how harden she had become after her hard life lesson, she still had a bit of a romantic heart, deep down. And just hearing Fang agree with her plans...for them, had her grinning. That is until, she too picked up a small scent in the air, different to what she had been smelling. And she glued her eyes to Fang as he began to speak. The firelight definitely brought on an interesting change as her smile vanished, and her eyes narrowed down dangerously. One of her nails popped out as she nodded at Fangorn. Sillabub was definitely willing to let Fangorn take the lead. The lemon short-hair wanted to see what Fangorn was capable of, and she admitted to herself she found it fascinating to watch him. "After you, Fangie." Sillabub whispered over to him, letting him know she would follow his orders for now.

Oracle had been walking outside when she noticed the scent of fire. Like any cat would, she followed it until she was along the roof.
When she got there she blinked,it looked like two cats were having a romantic dinner or something. She must have been interrupting.
She was not exactly sure what to do,and so she decided to stay hidden in the shadows.

Fangorn listened a few moments. Whoever was there seemed to be staying put. Now, why would they do that, he mused, unless it was a spy? Of course, "spy" could mean plenty of things: anywhere from a Jellicle scout to just a fellow hench eavesdropping for the fun of it. Either way, he disliked that they were keeping themselves hidden. "Hmm," he said nonchalantly, even throwing in a yawn for good measure, "that fire could use some livening-up. Would you care to fetch some more fuel, or shall I?" With an almost-imperceptible movement of his eyes, he indicated the direction from which the scent of the other cat seemed to be coming. Tired of waiting for the other cat to make him- or herself known, he was offering Sillabub the opportunity to give the "spy" the jump and bring him or her to the light. If she didn't want to, he would himself. He half-hoped it was a Jellicle, so they could do some questioning and he might get a chance to see Sillabub use that knife of hers.

Sillabub fiddled with her dagger silently until the scent of the other cat stopped and remained idle. She too was slightly suspicious of why. Unless it was a jellicle. But if it was another hench, then there was no good reason in Sillabub's opinion to spy on two henchcats simply sitting down for some dinner. How boring did your life have to be to find enjoyment out of someone else eating dinner. She gripped the handle of her dagger tighter, in case it was a jellicle spying for information, or desperate enough to know the hench dinner menu. Still, she wanted to see how good a decision on Mack's part was, by promoting Fangorn. Plus, it was the best demonstration she knew of short of sparring with him herself, to see if he could be trusted to watch her back in a fight. With a slow smile she nodded her head slightly, letting him know she understood his plan.
For one of them to go off under the pretense of getting more firewood only to get the jump on their little spy. So without losing momentum and making it seem as though nothing was out of the ordinary, the lemon shorthair also wanted to get one last shameless flirt in. "Well Fangie, I do believe I promoted you to firewood duty. Besides, can't deprive me of getting a sneak peek at that rump of yours, or would you deny a girl this?" She gave him an innocent expression, making it fairly obvious that this was his show, and she was excited to see him working in action. Being off duty herself, may have also been a factor. But she wasn't lying about Fangorn's attractive body.

Oracle swished her tail before deciding it rude to stare, she went to turn around and leave but the fire flared up,revealing her from her location. She wasn't sure if they had seen her or not,but it was best to avoid conflict between henchs. "Um,excuse me" she called out, walking forward just enough for them to see her face. "I...I hope I didn't interrupt anything, but I noticed the fire and became concerned" she explained, hoping that they would understand. "It's not everyday I see a fire on top of one of our buildings."

Fangorn was just getting up to go investigate... When Oracle saved him the trouble by coming into the light and making herself known. At first he felt somewhat disappointed that 1. He'd lost his chance to show off, and 2. His one-on-one time with Sillabub appeared to be at an end. But Fang soon grew cheerful again as he reflected on the prospect of enjoying the company of two lovely queens. This was turning out to be a lovely first patrol indeed. Standing up, he bowed slightly to Oracle. "Good evening... Miss Oracle, is it? I was just beginning my patrol, and Miss Sillabub was just on the end of hers, and graciously offered to give me some company and food. I apologise if our fire alarmed you. You are more than welcome to come warm yourself, if you haven't any more pressing duties." So saying, he took a moment to survey the area to ensure all was still quiet (that was why he was out here, after all) and give the queens a moment to greet each other. He did hope Sillabub wouldn't be too annoyed that he had invited Oracle to join them. It was a tricky business, keeping queens happy and avoiding offending them.

As soon as the young queen came into view, Silla's stance relax, albeit a fraction and she frowned slightly. She had nothing personal against the queen but was slightly peeved at how low Oracle's survival skills and self preservation instincts were. That, and if her first dinner with an interesting toms was going to be interrupted, then it should have been for a fight. If she said she wasn't annoyed by Fangorn's invitation, then she be lying. Shrugging she gestured toward the fire. "Have some of our food too." It was spoken in a sweet tone. To anyone, it was a thoughtful gesture. But only Fangorn would have seen it for what it was; biting sarcasm.
She went back and sat beside the fire. Bringing out her dagger, she twirled it for show and then sunk the blade deep into the belly of the rat. She glowered at the flames as she stuck the rat in to roast it. The invitation was already made, so she wasn't going to dismiss her, like some pompous princess throwing a tantrum for not getting her way. She patted the ground beside her for Oracle to sit down. "Dinner won't take too long." And if she grew bored of Oracle or her annoyance didn't subside, Silla always had the option of yawning, claiming she was tired and leaving. She WAS tired from her rather long day, but for Fangorn she was willing to lose some sleep. But for both of them? She wasn't so sure.

Oracle's ears flattened a little bit as the others began to speak "Oh,um...yes! That's me" she never had someone call her by her actual name before, except for Tucker, so how did fangorn know it? Had Tucker told him? She glanced from him to Sillabub believing that she had interrupted something, even if they had invited her it would be wrong to impose, plus the Tom had been working right? " I see, I'm sorry to have interrupted, my presence must have been slightly alarming " she apologized before glancing at the other queen, though she seemed nice she didn't seem so happy. Maybe she should just make up a lie to leave. ......but she was awful at lying. Plus, she kinda wanted to make new friends, but not because she crashed a date. "I,uh,really can't stay,I should. ..........., I should go find my brother. ....I'm sure that he's looking for me. So I'll just go, I - it's not you, I just don't. ......" as she stuttered and rambled akwardly she also began to back away, never looking away from the general direction of the two. She bumped into something once or twice before continuing to move back.

Fangorn got the sinking feeling he had just gone and made this whole situation ten times less comfortable than it had been a moment ago. Maintaining a calm outward appearance as he feigned keeping an eye out for trouble, he cast about for a way to dispel the tension. Thankfully, Oracle saved him from this by deciding to leave. "Ah, I see," he said regretfully, not wanting her to have the impression that he was hurrying her away. "If that's so, don't let us keep you. Perhaps another time, then."
