Name: Coricopat
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Tribe: Henchcat
Tribe Position: Member
Family: Tantomile - twin sister, Old Deuteronomy - father, Macavity, Rum Tum Tugger, and Munkustrap - half brothers
Appearance: Coricopat is a white/grey based tabby with black and golden highlight stripes. His body is build like his twin-sister Tantomile rather like a sleek runner. Very slender and long limbs, though he is taller and a bit more muscelar as his sister. His eyes are bright golden and similar to his sister he keeps his head fur short in a tight bun backwards. If you put them next to each other, the only noticeable difference to distinguish between them is the height difference and their gender.
Human Appearance:
Personality: Coricopat is quiet person, who turned bitter when time and life took the one thing from him that in his eyes made him important and special. In the beginning he wasn't that much different from his twin, though he basked more in the lime light their mystic powers gave them and used them often and intensive, though already sometimes to his own advantage. He would be the spokesperson for both of them when he deemed the other party worthy their time. He is noone for idle chit-chat nor does he have a lot of paitence for those who do, with the exception of his twin. In his eyes, she can do no wrong and he will always put her on a pedestal. But as much as he idolized his twin, as much he couldn't stand to be around her when she kept her powers and he lost them. This strife in him, to love his twin more than anything else and at the same time be jealous of her with a dark fierce intensity, made him leave the tribe and seek out the warehouse and his half-brother Macavity. When his mystic powers waned, he found that in the attempt to cover up the loss of his powers that he has a talent to lie, to be a silver tongued devil, to be a pretender. That talent smoothed his way into the favor of his half-brother, who he could convince that he still holds his powers. There he can still be the powerful advisor without having to deal with his sister and his mixed feelings about her. Particularly since his talent to lie never worked on his twin, who always knew if he was telling the truth or a lie and he never learned that his sister lost her powers as well after he left.
Describing word: Bitter / Liar / Con-man
History: Old Deuteronomy has been rumored to have had many mates throughout his life. It is without a doubt true. Although it is uncertain as to how many mates Deuteronomy took on, and how many kittens he exactly has, there are five of his kittens that are known to exist; Coricopat and Tantomile being two of the five.
Coricopat and Tantomile are the twin kittens of Old Deuteronomy and a queen that went by the name of Halloway. When alive, Halloway was quite the interesting queen to behold. She was an oriental black shorthair with a few orange patches and markings that made her closely resemble a jack-o-lantern. Some were freaked out by her Halloween-ish appearance; however, Old Deuteronomy was intrigued by her and sought to get to know the black queen more.
In a more personal meeting, Old Deuteronomy found out that Halloway wasn’t only intriguing in appearance, but this little lady had more tricks up her sleeve than the average everyday magician. She was a Wicca by nature; born with extraordinary powers and abilities; however, her magic wasn’t the showy type. Halloway was more of a healer of sorts with minor telepathic abilities, and was very in tune with nature, as her twins later turned out to be as well. With every new detail learned concerning the young witch, Old Deuteronomy grew more and more captivated by her.
Not long after their first initial meeting, Old Deuteronomy took Halloway as a mate. Within a season’s time, Halloway became pregnant; however, her body wasn’t coping well with the change. As her twins developed inside her, Halloway weakened, and in her weakened state, she soon grew sick and un able to properly take care of herself. She did all she could to insure that her kittens were healthy, but that was it. Old Deuteronomy found himself worrying over his mate’s health and well being, and although he had numerous mates elsewhere, he frequently visited her.
One morning Old Deuteronomy visited Halloway’s den knowing that her term was almost over in hopes of finding her a bit better than in their previous meetings. He instead walked in on a sight that he hadn’t even begun to expect. Halloway was dead. She had died during child birth; however she had managed to birth both kittens before death came to collect her soul.
Although stricken with grief, Old Deuteronomy buried Halloway, and took his newborn twins to the only safe place he could think of - the Jellicle junkyard. Two seasons before Coricopat and Tantomile’s birth, another one of Deuteronomy’s mates gave birth to a litter of kittens and was devastated by the death of all but one. This queen happened to be the mother of Munkustrap. Still producing milk, she graciously took the twins under her care and helped raise them until they were old enough to fend for themselves.
Just as the twins turned 12, Old Deuteronomy began to notice their similarity towards their deceased mother. He would watch as the twins stared at each other, moved in synchronized motions, and reacted to all sorts of natural causes and developments. They had without a doubt inherited Halloway’s natural talents and gifts, and Deuteronomy wanted nothing more than to see his twins develop them. It was then that Old Deuteronomy brought the twins to a human home he had come across during his travels. The occupants of this home happened to be a young couple whom were practicing Wiccans. Captivated by the kitten’s appearances, the humans took them in as their very own house pets where Tantomile still lives today - Coricopat has moved out.
Once the twins settled into their new abode, they began picking up on their human’s practices and abilities, and in the silent hours of the night, the mystic twins did the same. They never did develop the healing powers their mother once had; however, they did develop stronger telepathic powers than she did, and it seemed that their telepathic abilities only strengthened due to the fact that their was two of them, and not just one.
Coricopat tried to hide that his powers began to wane, when he gott older and he began to rely more and more on deception to present a front that was no longer true. He could never hide it though from his sister, first by the use of her then still working power, later by the knowledge to see the minisclous signs when someone close to you tries to lie. This drove a wedge between the perfect union of the twins. Coricopat loved his twin to a fault and at the same time envied her the use of powers he had had and still craved, powers she never flaunted or used for her own advantage like he often did, when he deemed that no harm came to anyone by it.
This wedge finally drove Coricopat from the junkyard, the Jellicle tribe, his family and especially his twin. He sought the court and group around his half brother Macavity, his newly discovered talent to lie his way out and into eny situation brought him a position as advisor to the ginger cat, still pretending to be the mystic power user he was in his youth. His contact to the junkyard tribe can be said to be non existant except the occasional meeting with his twin, who he still loves and still can't be around without feeling the envy creeping up again, since he never learned that his twin lost her powers, too.
RP Sample: Coricopat walked the silent corridors of the warehouse. His half brother, their allmighty lord of the warehouse, had called him to his office and he had of course to follow. In his thoughts the dark twin despised his half brother, but it was the only way, in his favor, to fill such an important role as advisor. Cori had always felt the need to be someone special and important and in the beginning the powers he had shared with his beloved twin provided him with that position. Then they vanished without any detectable reason and Cori's influence vanished with them, if ... yes, if he didn't take the step and lied his way back into grace, something his twin could never understand nor tolerate with the tribe. On top he learned how hot the green envy could burn even against someone you loved more than yourself, when all he knew was that his twin still help the power he so much craved. So Cori left for the warehouse, never looking back to his "old" life with the tribe and ingratiated himself into his half-brother's favor. Here he was still that special person and here he could pretend with every lie to continue to be so.
Cori reached the door to Macavity's office, knocked and waited to be called inside. When he heard in "Come In", he opened the door and entered.
"You wanted to talk to me?"
He asked with a fake smile.
Comments: Coricopat no longer possesses the mystic powers (telepathy) of his adolescent years. But he still pretends to have them and covers the loss with elaborated lies and half-truths.
