Name: Zwitter
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Tribe: HenchCat
Tribe Position:
Family: Serpit (cousin)
Appearance: Zwitter is a Russian Blue. She is considerably larger than most queens, even most toms, her body lacks the usual curves and she is solid and thick set. Her physique is so hard that she has frequently been mistaken for a tom before her female scent is realised. As she is blind, her eyes are empty and misted, similar to glass marbles. Her dull appearance would usually cause her to fade into the shadows, but her size and solidity render it impossible to ignore her presence.
Human Appearance:
Personality: Zwitter has occasionally been described as, not immoral, but amoral. She lacks empathy. She will resort to violence, severe violence, if necessary to carry out her orders, and while it leaves no stain upon her conscience, she is not a sadist as her cousin is. Like her cousin she is disinterested in sex. She had one told Serpit (who has never indulged due to disgust and disinterest) that she had tried it once. “I waited, but nothing happened.” she claimed. She does not take part in the various sadistic and depraved activities of the other henches, not because such things disgust her, but because she is not interested. Because of this she sometimes thinks that perhaps it is she who is the worst of all, to let this evil pass her by without acknowledgement.
The only thing that she does indulge in, is catnip. Her addiction has become chronic, and she now seems to permanently reek of the stuff. Her low speech is frequently slurred, almost unintelligible. In spite of not enjoying the pleasures of the flesh, she has an unusual and somewhat disturbing obsession with body heat. She has a tendency to stand uncomfortably and annoyingly close to others when conversing with them. She is also known to hold the bodies of those she has killed, until their body heat fades and they stiffen with rigor mortis.
Zwitter is silent, for the most part. The one she has shared to most conversation with since she joined the henchcats is Serpit, and neither one cares for the other. Due to her blindness and lack of interaction, Zwitter has become detached. She finds it very difficult to understand others emotions or motives or reasoning. When she speaks, her tone is disjointed, it never seems to fit the situation. She is not emotionless, but she is at a loss on how to feel or act around others. She has spent the majority of her life in the dark room of her head where there is only her, and the occasional unwanted, temporary guest who comes to give her orders. She has ceased to care about being mistaken for a tom, only correcting the odd queen who attempts to flirt with her.
Faults: Zwitter is a messy killer. Although she is blind, her other senses have sharpened, and she is quite able to fight, but her victories are clumsy, gristly and agonisingly slow.
She has a tendancy to sound cruelly blunt when she speaks, frequently leading others to believe she is being intentionally rude or challenging. This is coupled with her lack of respect for personal space.
Describing word: Unfeeling
History: Zwitter's mother was English, but she herself was shipped to Germany amongst a batch of kittens to a pet shop in Berlin. She was bought by an ex soldier named Elias, who selected her as a companion for his cat, Dagmar. Dagmar was a silent type, and never the sort to show frivolous affection, even upon realising that Zwitter was blind, the two spent many months living very distantly.
The only time that Dagmar spoke to Zwitter, was to urge her to move closer to her one night during a harsh winter. She addressed the rapidly growing kitten as Zwitter, although Elias had called her Dietrich. Zwitter has always lived under this name ever since, never knowing, nor once questioning it's meaning.
This was the closest Zwitter and Dagmar ever got. Sharing eachother's warmth each night, but remaining curtly silent and, for the most part, out of each other's sight during the day. Dagmar was run over when Zwitter was in her teens. The older cat's body was split completely in half by the wheels. It was Zwitter who found her, recognizing her scent, and that night she sat close to her on her haunches, next to the half where she felt a head and the face twisted in pain.
Not long after this event, Elias died of liver failure, due to the excessive cosumption of whisky. Zwitter, unwanted by Elias' suviving family, was taken to a cat's home. She had barely been there a week, when she was driven to a harbour and shipped back to England. Once on foreign shores, Zwitter lived on the streets of London, having learned no English, and barely able to speak, having been mute for years with Elias and Dagmar.
She was brought into the Henchcats by an unusually helpful queen, who seemed to rather fancy her chances in their ranks. Zwitter vaguely recalls that she rarely hears from that queen any more, she can barely remember her scent, let alone her name.
Within the sanctuary of the Henches, Zwitter learned to speak some small amount of English, and was trained to fight through her blindness. After some years of being in the group, disappearing into to background as time passed, she came into contact with an unpleasent tom named Serpit. In time, as small chunks of parentage was realized, the two recognised each other as cousins, much to their mutual disgust. Despite not having been with the henches as long, Serpit was of higher rank than Zwitter, and he seems to hold much Disdain for the queen. To this day, he mockingly refers to her as “Tom”.
RP Sample: “ Come, there's no time for this
Zwitter heard the hiss at the skin of her back, but she ignored it's implication. Pulling the limp body that she believed to be that of a young tom, closer to her solid form. The scent rising from his opened belly filled her nostrils, she barely noticed the hot fluid that poured from it, dribbling onto her legs. He would freeze like this now, stiffen into the fetal position that her hold had molded him into. She felt herself smile.
“You go.” She muttered, almost inaudible. “I'll be there later.”
