Name: Cayran (Cay)
Gender: Female
Age: Adult (22)
Tribe: Jellicle
Tribe Position: None at the moment.
Family: Her father’s name is Karm, and her mother, Saba. She has two brothers, Zinnober (the middle child), and August (the youngest). She does have a half sister as well named Aida; however she isn’t aware of Aida’s existence.
Appearance: Cay stands at around 5’6, and her figure is shapely and feminine. She wouldn’t be categorized as a stick figure. She is fit mind you, however, she does have a little extra meat on her bones that gives her that “womanly” appeal. She has a good sized bust and thick thighs, and has an all around rockin’ curvaceous form.
Cayran’s face is round with full lips, and deep grey eyes. Due to her breeding (half somali), her head fur is long and wavy, and she lets it flow freely without any up keep. Needless to say, she has a certain charm about her.
Human Appearance: i46.tinypic.com/2rqkq6x.jpg
Personality: Cayran is somewhat of the walking definition of a southern belle. She’s charming, mannerly, and sociable, however she has enough sass to support that extra swag to her hips.
As said, Cayran is a good ol' southern girl. Small town bred, mannerly, and spiced up with a whole lot of charm and spunk. She is naturally all smiles and pleasant; however, don't think that she won't spark an attitude with you if you so happen rub her the wrong way. No, she won't chew your head off if you do, (unless of course you completely piss her off), but will instead clearly point out that "that isn't tha' way any young man or lady should act." Needless to say, she does quite a bit that her mother wouldn’t approve of. Nevertheless, she believes in giving and receiving respect due to her momma's constant speeches.
Cayran is quite the fire cracker. Despite frequently enjoying the simple things of life silently with a spectator's gaze, she also enjoys life's simple pleasures with a go get'em attitude. She enjoys all activities that allow her to tap into her inner tom boy, yet she also loves star gazing, and a quite evening just as much. Her daily activities are basically planned due to what ever mood she might be in, and she does what she pleases without any regret or second thought.
Despite having an extra dosage of spunk and sass, Cayran is extremely sociable and kind. She’ll gladly talk to nearly everyone, and isn’t opposed to meeting a new face. She rarely has a hard time starting up a conversation, and will in most cases end a sentence with a smile or a giggle. Cay doesn’t mind being a shoulder for you to cry on; however she has her limits. Pity parties aren’t acceptable, and she’ll have none of it. Getting upset and having the occasional good cry is reasonable and expected, but refusing to suck it up and move on irks her last nerve. She’ll help you when ever she can, but she can only do so much before you have the take the reigns and make things better on your on.
Cayran's only major flaw might be that like most any southern gal, she likes to gossip. Although every country, race, ethnicity, etc practice the art of gossiping, southerners go about gossip differently. They make themselves sound as if they are not at fault when they talk about another, and use their mannerly upbringing as a tool. For example, instead approaching the subject of gossip bluntly with "you'll never guess what I heard," sountherners tend to say something along the lines of "Well, you didn't hear it from me" or "I love em' to death, but...", and do while acting as innocent as possible. "Bless his heart" is southern for "He is at fault," and on the subject of gossiping, Cay is most definitely at fault, and practices all of the methods mentioned above. Of course she means no harm in it, but still, no good ever came from gossiping, and it is just a lesson she will have to learn.
Describing word: Sassy
History: Cayran was the first born child of a rudy somali tom named Karm, and a white persian mix named Saba. Her father at the time was the elected second in command for the Alexandrian tribe; a small but well known tribe in the foothills of North Carolina. She was 4 when her brother Zinnober was born, and 7 when August came along. She doted on both her brothers as any sister should, and loved them equally, though differently. She related more to Zin, where as she felt an overwhelming since of protectiveness for August due to his blindness.
For the most part, her life wasn’t anything short of ordinary. She had a fantastic family, good friends, and a nice home. She grew accustomed to sleeping at her father’s human’s home on some nights, finding them surprisingly tolerable, but kept herself mainly tied to the Alexandrian’s and their life style.
When she turned 18, Zinnober began acting strange. He grew distant, and would leave for hours, and days on end. He had gotten himself wrapped up in the affairs of the Jail House tribe, also known as the jailbirds; a tribe that tormented the Alexandrians when ever given the chance. Despite their parent’s warnings and pleadings, Zin wouldn’t break off his ties with them. This alone put Cayran on edge; however it wasn’t enough for her to renounce her love for her brother.
As the month’s passed, Cayran found herself growing closer to Daniel, the tribe’s future leader. What started off as a simple friendship began to blossom into a love affair, and Cayran had every intention to accept a mating proposal if he asked. Sadly though, such a proposal never took place.
On one crisp autumn night, Zinnober helped sneak the jail birds into Alexandrian territory, and without any second thought or consideration, they reeked havoc on the small tribe. In the midst of the fighting, a number of Cayran’s fellow tribe mates were injured, captured, and some were killed. Daniel was amongst the few that was murdered. The news of Daniel’s death broke her heart, and any and all of her future plans were put on hold.
It took Cayran a number of months before she started acting like her old self again, and although life was once again starting to make since, Cayran still felt as if something was missing. Something she couldn’t quite pin point.
At the age of 20, Cayran was informed that her human’s daughter was flying to England to study abroad. Still having not found that missing piece to her life, Cayran found herself wanting to join her human’s daughter for the sake of simply going some place new. Granted, she knew that going meant leaving her current life behind for a number of years, however, Cayran really didn’t think she had any other choice. She craved a new start, and to forget those things that bothered her the most. Leaving was that escape.
Kissing her family good bye, Cayran left with her human’s daughter at the end of the summer, and has been living in England with her for the past two years. Of course she misses home; she thinks of it daily, but she has found a new family with the London jellicles that make her just as happy. She knows that someday she’ll most likely return, but for now, she is satisfied with where she is, and is embracing every opportunity that knocks at her door.
RP Sample: Cayran didn't know what to do with herself. Now that she was a full grown adult, the young queen's body was finally settling and adjusting to her womanhood. She had been gifted with a curvaceous figure, enhanced by full figured breasts and a well rounded bottom. Her hair had grown out to match her father's length, and curled neatly around the contours of her face. To put it simply, she was now considered "attractive."
In the words of her mother, she "should have been proud that tha' Great Cat blessed her with such dah'lin features," however, now that she was in season, "blessed" was one word she wouldn't have dreamed of using to describe her current situation. "Cursed" was more like it. None the less though, Cayran knew she just had to suck it up and deal with the cards dealt, and wait it out.
