Coricopat would like to think he could come and go as he pleased; that Macavity didn't monitor every move he made. It was something he'd like to believe, but wasn't necessarily true. Coricopat did many things Macavity didn't know about, after all, even he deserved his privacy, however, he made sure to come back and reasonable times as to not make the ginger cat suspicious.
Entering the warehouse, Cori nodded to a particularly large guard, gold eyes meeting the large black tom's green ones in passing. The guard's eyes squinted in acknowledgement, obviously unsure of the mystic tom but without reason to try anything. Plus, Cori was strictly off limits to brawls and brute encounters. Macavity made that well known.
The tall, slender mystic made sure to round the corner before he released a held breath. he didn't want anyone to catch his bluff after all. Sitting down, Cori ran a hand through his head fur, eyes closing momentarily as he thought the day through. Coming and going was becoming far more difficult, and this caused him a good deal of stress.

"Coricopat?"
The voice could be compared to the soft sound of a dove, soft and light. Next to him stood Annabella, arms grasping more books that she had scavaged from the basement. Her face was filled with concern.
She was still as thin as ever and the books could partially cover up her thin, fragil frame. Her bright eyes clouded with worry and her face full of concern. Coricopat was a friend to her, and she made sure she always took care of her friend.

Cori's ears perked atop his head, and his head shifted, revealing his golden eyes as he glanced up at her. He probably looked stressed - not the calm and collective tom she had encountered only nights before. He was somewhat ashamed that she caught a glimpse of him in his fragility, but there was nothing he could do but try and play it off.
Straightening his back, Cori sighed and offered her a small smirk - his version of a normal smile. "Evening Anna. Getting into a bit of...light reading?" He asked, one eyebrow cocking as he observed the stack of books in her hands. He tried to ignore the look of concern on her face, hoping that his change in posture would eliminate any worry she had for him.

Anna stared at him for a moment, not at all believing everything was fine. But she smiled, deciding to humor him for a moment, "Aye. I planned on it."
She glanced down, then looked up at him, "You look stressed. Are you okay?"

"I don't doubt it," Cori said, reaching up and taking a book from her out of curiosity. He had every intention of giving it back. Running his fingers across the cover, Cori's eyes scanned over the title and he nodded his approval. "Good book. I read it not to long ago." He mused, handing it back to her.
The dark tom tried to ignore her question, however, he could tell by her gaze that she wasn't going to drop the subject unless he answered. Cori shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, I have had better days. Nothing to worry about though." And there really wasn't. Nothing horrible had happened, and he hadn't yet lost his ability to come and go as he pleased. He was just...tired.
"Finding your way around here okay?"

Annabella smiled and nodded, "I read it before. I wish I could go out and find more, but..." She glanced down at the stack and shrugged, "Well, anyway, the basement had plenty of books to pass my time."
She glanced back up at him and tilted her head smiling softly, "Yeah. I finally made myself a map!" Reaching into the book, she pulled out a folded piece of paper, "I'm starting to get used to the warehouse so I don't need it, but it's better than getting lost and running into someone who wants to...well..."
She looked up at him, "Can I ask you something? Does everyone here just want to...you know?"

Cori silently listened to her, nodding only to prove that he hadn't faded her out. His eyes shifted around the room, and the dark tom raised his head, offering her a soft "Hmmm?" in response to her question.
"Oh..." He murmured, clearing his throat, "you mean sex?" It either had to be that or fighting. Everyone here seemed to love sex and beating up one another. It was as if a punch was foreplay. Cori blinked and nodded his head, placing his hands on his lap as he leaned back.
"Yes, seems so. Sex is their way of entertainment I suppose. I am actually surprised we don't have more kittens darting around this place all things considering." Cori figured that queens had their ways of aborting, but it seemed rather unpleasant and the mystic didn't want to think about it.
"Why?" He pondered, looking at her. "Are they trying to involve you?"

Anna moved and sat down next to him, nodding, "Sometimes. Most of the time, I hear them." She placed the stack of books in her lap and leaned back against the wall.
"I haven't seen much of you. You been busy?" She asked, looking at him.

"Yes, they are rather loud when they go at it, aren't they..." He mused, shifting his weight against the bench he sat on. "You'd think they'd want to be a little subtle, but I suppose not." Coricopat hadn't been with many queens, but he never recalled being nearly as loud as some of the couples that romped about. Oh well, there was a reason why he was different from them, and vice versa.
Looking at Anna, Cori shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. "No, not particularly. I do my usual, I've just...been thinking quite a bit is all." It was partially true, he was just being vague.

Anna sighed, "Loud is an understatement." She looked up at him and smiled, "Still, it doesn't help that I apparently live next to.....the most open queen in the entire warehouse." She blinked, rubbing her neck and blushing.
She stayed quiet after that, not sure what to say. Instead, she rubbed her arm and smiled, "So...have you seen Prrasha?"

Cori "hmmmed," his version of a simple chuckle and cocked his head back against the wall, a smirk playing across his lips. "Ha, and I thought my next door neighbor was bad."
Coricopat shrugged his shoulders at the mention of Prrasha and pursed his lips in thought. "No," he breathed, running his tongue across his teeth, "Not since our little gathering. From what I figure, she's lurking about somewhere, probably in this darkest room possible." Although he'd hate to admit it, he had been amused by Prrasha's constant banter. Granted, it was annoying, but entertaining in it's own way.
"What about you my dear, have you met any more friendly faces in this lovely place we call home?" He asked sarcastically, motioning to the warehouse in it's entirety.

Anna laughed softly, "He or she probably is. Mine just has to ensure herself that she's doing a fine job at...whatever it is that they might be doing." She laughed again, "I'm sure the cat she's with wants to grab her by the shoulders and shake her by the time they're done."
She made a soft sound, "I haven't, actually. I stick to myself in my room. I don't really get a chance to explore unless I need to eat or I get a bit stir-crazy. Or..." She motioned to her books, "I run out of reading material. What about you? I don't take you for a tom who hosts book clubs out of his room." A soft smile trailed her lipst at her own little joke.

"No no," Cori began holding up his hands, "I don't doubt yours is the loudest. My neighbor only makes one noise, and that is when he, well... releases." He said, trying to be as discrete and vague as possible. She'd catch the drift. Anna was a young queen, but surely one as pretty as she knew about the birds and the bees, etc.
"It is good you haven't been forced to do anything yet. Keep to your usual routine, and stay out of sight as much as possible. Some of the toms and queens here don't care about personal space, nor your hesitations," Cori added, giving her a fair warning. There were toms here that would take advantage of her if she wasn't careful, and as off beat as Coricopat was, he didn't want that to happen to her, Prrasha, or any other "okay" queen in the warehouse.
"I don't," Cori smirked. "I keep to myself, help Macavity with his dreams, and get out when I can." He honestly tried to avoid most. He really didn't click with the majority of cats that resided under Macavity's roof.

Anna turned deep red and cleared her throat, looking away. "O-oh...I see..."
Annabella was innocent in the sense that she had only ever been with one person, albiet, she wasn't sure she wanted it, she had made the promise and...she rather not think about it. No, Coricopat continued, causing her to turn her head and look at him.
"Is it really that bad?" She questioned, tilting her head. "I mean, I would have stayed in my room and left them alone as much as possible, I mean, that was my plan, anyway. But is it so bad that you have to warn me?"
She blinked, "You...help him with his dreams? How?"

Coricopat nodded, his expression as serious as stone. "Yes." Cori knew that Macavity didn't care what his thugs and followers did as long as they listened to him in the long run. They could hurt whom ever they pleased, and sleep with anyone. They didn't need permission, nor did they care about the sanctity of the other they slept with. Cori hated it.
But, he was stuck here. He couldn't go back to the life he had. Macavity protected him though. Macavity thought Cori could offer him answers, and Coricopat played along, knowing that if anyone ever found out the truth, he was a dead man.
Nodding his head, the dark tom blinked. "I told you Anna, I'm a mystic of sorts. My twin, she is stronger than I but I can still provide him with the answers he wants. Plus," Coricopat paused, looking away from her, "Macavity is my half brother, that also helps with the mind reading and dream depictions."
