Hey guys its me, I've been kicking around this idea for the last day or so and I want to think it through completely before actually acting on it. Right now I am writing up memos to myself for it and such.
Its based partly on my idea of a Star Wars/Cats cross over story {which I am working on, it is called Star Wars; Wrath of Xo} That has the Cats characters in the Star Wars universe, I think it fits personally speaking though.
Anyhow, I want input on if I should start the board, and what I should call it; I'm partial to Xorpg myself.
My premise is basically the jellicles are on a planet much like the Homeworld, they're known as Jellicles among themselves and those they share the planet with {humans, possibly pollicles} and they also have mystics much like Jedi {which they simple call Mystics}
Pretty much kept out of galaxy affairs they have no idea what is really out among the stars and nobody has tried to find their world. Only one starship company, Corellian Engineering Company, has a secret starship buyer, {The humans and Jellicles of Xo, known simple as the Hidden Ones} Where they send slaverigged starships and technology to this unknown world. The ships are sent at random to random locations outside the known galaxy, picked up later by Xoian spacers and whatnot at the preprogrammed locations.
Nobody has seen a Jellicle in the galaxy at large, merely assuming these Hidden Ones being that of the other feline races {the Cathar or Kraeith for example.} Those that have seen and know what a Jellicle looks like and can do are those on their planet they share with the Jellicles.
The storyline itself may take place in space or on the planet. Or even during a civil war on the planet that thrusts the planet and system into the galaxy proper. They're a proud powerful race of beings that live in harmony together.
In fact I am thinking that both humans, Jellicles, Pollicles and other races in the Star Wars universe can be used. But for simplicty sake I may just limit to what is on Xo, in this case, Jellicles, Humans, and Pollicles.
Naturally the Pollicles and Jellicles have a constant at war stance about them and could go at the others throats at the drop of a hat.
Let me know what you guys think, should I start such a forum ? If so, what forum software shall I use ? I'm debating between proboards and freeforums. Proboards hosts us, but I have experience in both, and also with simple machines. But personally I really like the themes and look of Proboards and Freeforums.
I'd start a poll, but I really wonder what everyone thinks I should do. Its been really nagging at me and I think it might be fun
