Hey everyone, so we have a quick but important announcement for everyone.
So we have noticed the large presence of NPCs in threads around the board. And while NPCs can be useful, there is a definite excess of the NPCs within threads and we’ve also noticed that these NPCs within the threads are playing continually larger parts and roles that are suited to be played by actual playable characters. The purpose of an NPC is only for small and overall inconsequential plot points or to be killed without losing a playable character. That is all. They are not intended for large plot happenings or reoccurring appearances.
While we are addressing this, we have also received numerous complaints about certain characters that are being left behind in threads. We do understand that with a difference in schedules, a character’s post might get skipped once or twice but we have also been notified that not only are characters left completely behind but that godmodding has come into play as characters are left behind. This is concerning as it is two problems happening at the same time and this is acting as a warning to the problem. It’s great to be excited about a thread but please keep in mind that when a character gets left behind the player’s motivation for the thread is lost and we want as much excitement and motivation as possible.
