Name: Victoria - Russian nickname: Vika [VEE-kuh]
Gender: Female
Age: Young Adult (17)
Tribe: Jellicles
Tribe Position:; Member
Family: George (brother) - original Russian name: Yuri
Appearance: Victoria is called the snow white queen for her totally white fur. Only greyish traces of tabby stripes can be seen in the right light on the side of her body. Prominent appears her little pink nose in her white face underneath her always innocent big green eyes, which are framed by her long eyelashes. She is very slender but her constant classical dancing left her muscular and strong.
Personality: Victoria is a quiet person, to whom dancing and music is the ultimate expression of who she is. She loves and needs to loose herself in her dance and feels quite insecure outside of it. She can excel in games which involve dancing or exercises similar to it and participates gladly and with fun. Other games she might stay apart or just watches the others. She seldom voices her opinion or argues her point, mostly because of her very conservative upbringing but also because she rather seeks harmony with the others and still having some difficulties with the English language. When she speaks, her English outside of songs is still heavily accented from her birth-language Russian. All this behavior is heavily reinforced by her relationship to her brother. He is so highly protective of her, that he controls a good size of her life and her upbringing in Russia makes her accept his control without question Most of the time. Recently she started to stand up for herself and tried to break the conditioning of her upbringing and the control of her brother, but these are still seldom and she (still) looses mostly. Keeping herself inside the circle of princesses she calls her friends was one of the few times she succeeded. So Victoria seeks regular and often solitude to practice her dancing. If someone watches her then, one will see her completely open during these sessions, no masks, no walls, just the young queen as she is.
History: Victoria was born and raised in Russia together with her brother Yuri, who is slightly older than her. The human, who adopted both of them into her household, was a Prima Ballerina with the National Russian Ballet. Through her Victoria found her love and passion for dancing. The bond to her human was quite strong and so Victoria trained together with her, thus creating the strong and charismatic dancer she is today. But the household was also highly conservative and traditional. This taught Victoria to be subservient to her brother as her next male kin.
Things changed, when her human got an offer for a ballet group in London which she took up and emigrated with bot her cats and household to the UK. There the connection between her human and Victoria dissolved more and more as the new company was far more often on tour than the Russian Ballet and it was impossible to take the cats with her all the time. In the times alone with her brother in the big home of her human, both started to roam the surrounding areas which then lead them one day to the junkyard. There she was met by the Jellicles, who invited the mostly silent young queen and her permanent shadow of a brother into their midst. Yuri changed his name to the English equivalent of George and had no trouble to integrate himself into the group of younger toms. Victoria's quite demeanor and her tendency to listen what other say soon brought her into the group of young queens also known as Tugger's fan club. George wasn't always happy of her spending time with them, especially when they were close to Tugger to whom he had a instant dislike. This brought the first fights between Victoria and George, when she tried to stand up to her friendships. Not always did she win those arguments. Her best friend became the usual similar quiet Jamima. She surprised everyone when the tribe saw her dancing the first time. This lead to her being the leading dancer and soloist in the Jellicle Ball, where she also took her coming of age and her mating dance was answered by Plato. The failure of that mating and the following arguments and fights with her brother about it only caused her to withdraw even more.
RP Sample: Victoria stole herself into the more abandoned areas of the junkyard, always taking careful looks if she was being followed. Her face showed a concentrated mask of apprehension and anxiety of being discovered.
Finally she made it into a secluded area, which was almost completely surrounded by heaps of stacked metal trash. Here she took a deep breath and let all the tension drain out of her. With one last look at the only entrance to her secret rehearsal place, she placed herself in the middle of the area and started to go through several warm-up moves, before she finally started a dance routine to music only she could hear. Lost in the music and the dance she almost floated around the area, with a grace, any human dancer would envy her for.
Comments: Victoria is trying to fight an uphill battle against the traditions she was raised with and which her brother still holds firmly to and being her own independent person like her peers in the yard.
