Name: Coricopat
Gender: Male
Age: Adult
Tribe: HenchCat
Tribe Position:
Family: Tantomile - twin sister, Old Deuteronomy - father, Macavity, Rum Tum Tugger, and Munkustrap - half brothers
Appearance: Coricopat is a tad bit taller than your average tom. He is precisely 6’1, whereas the average male stands at 5’9 - 5’10. He is lean and slim, with long elegant limbs. If anything, Coricopat is built like a runner. He is toned, but not busting with muscle. He has a long face with high cheek bones and piercing gold eyes. Cori’s head fur is slicked back and well groomed, and he pulls it back into a tight, low pony tail to give him that oriental look.
Human Appearance: i1170.photobucket.com/albums/r528/_looki/Tom%20Hiddleston/Photoshoot434.jpg
Personality: As already assumed I’m sure, Coricopat is quiet. He doesn’t have much to say unless it is useful, and he isn’t one for “mindless” chatter. It’s just not him. He finds random squawking and giggling annoying, and has nothing to do queens or toms that do so on a regular basis. He won’t even entertain them for a brief moment - at least not by choice. If Coricopat holds a conversation, he’s determined to make it a meaningful one, and worth his time. In other words, Cori is all business, and no play, and to be honest, rather stuck on himself.
Despite not being much of a talker, Coricopat has quite the silver tongue. He can weasel himself out of nearly anything, and is quick on his feet. He has a knack for knowing how to manipulate others, and one of his gifts (if not the main one), is that he can read expressions and moods without “getting the whole story.” He uses that to make himself “appeasable” to the cat at hand, and relatable, and vwala! He gets what he wants or needs from them.
On top of everything, Coricopat is a liar. Granted, he hasn’t always been one (just small white lies here and there), but lying is a trait he has seeming developed over time. His ability to lie, and to lie well works in with his silver tongue, and now a days, it is hard to tell whether or not he is truthful. He just figures that it is easier to lie than it is to tell the truth and possibly suffer consequences. Everyone else can suffer for him for as far as he is concerned, just as long as he get out of whatever it is in the end.
Now, Coricopat hasn’t COMPLETELY gone off the deep end. He isn’t at all evil. He’ll lie, manipulate, cheat, and do what ever it takes to get what he wants, but he won’t physically harm another. He has a heart, it has just hardened a bit over time. He has developed soft spots for certain cats here and there, one particularly being his sister of course, but he isn’t the tom he use to be. Not by a long shot. Macavity has made his way into Coricopat’s brain, and Cori finds himself loyally aligned to his half brother.
Lastly, despite it all, he can’t, and will not lie to Tantomile. She knows the truth always, and of course that scares him. The main reason he left the junkyard and joined the henchcats was that he wanted separate himself from her, but even after living totally different lives, he can’t just completely abandon her. Their relationship will never be what it was, but at least Tantomile can sleep knowing Cori at least cares.
Describing word: Manipulative
History: Old Deuteronomy has been rumored to have had many mates throughout his life. It is without a doubt true. Although it is uncertain as to how many mates Deuteronomy took on, and how many kittens he exactly has, there are five of his kittens that are known to exist; Coricopat and Tantomile being two of the five.
Coricopat and Tantomile are the twin kittens of Old Deuteronomy and a queen that went by the name of Halloway. When alive, Halloway was quite the interesting queen to behold. She was an oriental black shorthair with a few orange patches and markings that made her closely resemble a jack-o-lantern. Some were freaked out by her Halloween-ish appearance; however, Old Deuteronomy was intrigued by her and sought to get to know the black queen more.
In a more personal meeting, Old Deuteronomy found out that Halloway wasn’t only intriguing in appearance, but this little lady had more tricks up her sleeve than the average everyday magician. She was a Wicca by nature; born with extraordinary powers and abilities; however, her magic wasn’t the showy type. Halloway was more of a healer of sorts with minor telepathic abilities, and was very in tune with nature, as her twins later turned out to be as well. With every new detail learned concerning the young witch, Old Deuteronomy grew more and more captivated by her.
Not long after their first initial meeting, Old Deuteronomy took Halloway as a mate. Within a season’s time, Halloway became pregnant; however, her body wasn’t coping well with the change. As her twins developed inside her, Halloway weakened, and in her weakened state, she soon grew sick and un able to properly take care of herself. She did all she could to insure that her kittens were healthy, but that was it. Old Deuteronomy found himself worrying over his mate’s health and well being, and although he had numerous mates elsewhere, he frequently visited her.
One morning Old Deuteronomy visited Halloway’s den knowing that her term was almost over in hopes of finding her a bit better than in their previous meetings. He instead walked in on a sight that he hadn’t even begun to expect. Halloway was dead. She had died during child birth; however she had managed to birth both kittens before death came to collect her soul.
Although stricken with grief, Old Deuteronomy buried Halloway, and took his newborn twins to the only safe place he could think of - the jellicle junkyard. Two seasons before Coricopat and Tantomile’s birth, another one of Deuteronomy’s mates gave birth to a litter of kittens and was devastated by the death of all but one. This queen happened to be the mother of Munkustrap. Still producing milk, she graciously took the twins under her care and helped raise them until they were old enough to fend for themselves.
Just as the twins turned 12, Old Deuteronomy began to notice their similarity towards their deceased mother. He would watch as the twins stared at each other, moved in synchronized motions, and reacted to all sorts of natural causes and developments. They had without a doubt inherited Halloway’s natural talents and gifts, and Deuteronomy wanted nothing more than to see his twins develop them. It was then that Old Deuteronomy brought the twins to a human home he had come across during his travels. The occupants of this home happened to be a young couple whom were practicing Wiccans. Captivated by the kitten’s appearances, the humans took them in as their very own house pets where Tantomile still lives today - Coricopat has moved out.
Once the twins settled into their new abode, they began picking up on their human’s practices and abilities, and in the silent hours of the night, the mystic twins did the same. They never did develop the healing powers their mother once had; however, they did develop stronger telepathic powers than she did, and it seemed that their telepathic abilities only strengthened due to the fact that their was two of them, and not just one.
Coricopat began to notice though once he and Tantomile became 18 years old, his mystical abilities began to fade rather than become strong. This undoubtably scared him. He couldn’t “hear” his sister anymore, nor could he feel or sense the things he use to. Now at the age of 24, Coricopat can barely feel anything. Odd dreams still plague him, but as for his other abilities, they are hardly but a memory - a memory he wished he still relived.
His loss of mystical powers plagued Coricopat for quite some time. (It still does.) Nevertheless, no one but Tantomile knows. The fact that at the time she seemed to still have her gifts frustrated Cori. Tantomile was able to sense things when Munkustrap needed her, and although Cori used his fabulous lying skills to play as if he felt the same things Tanto did, he grew to feel worthless. The worse he felt about himself, the more he distanced himself from Tantomile and the junkyard. He was becoming a stranger to them, and worse, he was okay with it.
It wasn’t until Coricopat was 21 that Macavity invited him to join his escapade. Macavity’s offer gave Coricopat the boost he needed, and for the first time in years, Macavity’s interest and faith in his “abilities” made Coricopat feel powerful, even if he was living a lie. He wrapped himself within the poison Macavity spew, and over the months, Cori became more and more loyal to his half brother. Granted, his leaving the junkyard hurt his sister, as well as the friends he had left behind, but now Coricopat doesn’t care. His life has changed, and as far as he is concerned, it has changed for the better. He has no desire to return to the yard, no matter how much his sister begs...
RP Sample: Stepping out into the moonlight, Coricopat yawned and stretched and smoothed down his already sleek head fur. The tom’s golden eyes glanced around and he took in a shallow breath, already sensing the night air and the world shifting around him. Thankfully, from what he could tell, everything was calm, and Cori was looking forward to an evening of peace and serenity. It was something he rarely received, and he never took a quiet evening for granted.
Cori licked his lips and set down the sidewalk towards the warehouse, his mind bustling with thoughts of the previous evening, and what was to come.
Comments: Coricopat USE to have mystic powers. They were strong when he was younger, but as Cori grew older, and continues to age, they are fading. He still has odd dreams every now and then, and pretends to still have mystic abilities to earn Macavity’s favor. His dreams are usually the ones that seem real; remarkably so. They make him believe he is actually looking into the future, other dimensions, and sometimes the past. Granted, he's never been able to prove it, but he believes his dreams try to tell him something. They also lead to strong senses of Daja-vu.
