Name: Quickpaw
Gender: Female
Age: Adolescent
Tribe: Jellicle.
Tribe Position: Member (Jellicles)
Family: Orphan - She and her littermates were brought into the animal pound, where they got seperatly adopted by humans.
Appearance: Quickpaw is a calico with white base fur that is almost symetrically covered in two shades of brown patches. This is most prominent in her face where one eyes is covered with the lighter almost yellow brown shade the other with dark almost black shade. Her tail is ringed alternatively with white / lite / white / dark ending in a white tip. Her eyes are a bright grass green which usually sparkle with her zest for life. Her body is more on the stockier side, which doesn't mean that she is fat. Just that she isn't as slender as most of her peers. (See also picture)
Human Appearance: None
Personality: Quickpaw used to be one of the high-energy, hyperactive kittens who combined with a tendecy to clumsiness were quite accidentprone. Overly curious with a discinct short attentions span - Oh shiney! - any small or big distraction could spell hazard for the kitten, because it usually started her to stumble over her own feet while running. Though this usually brought a lot of teasing from her peers and friends (names like Clumsypaws were used often), it never chnged her sunny disposition. Quite on the contrary, she was always the first and loudest to laugh over her next mishab, quickly to get back on her paws and rejoin the games they were playing. As she got older she kept her positive view on life, though she also found a very caring streak inside her and enjoys it immensly to look after the kittens younger then her, helping out Jenny and Jellylorum. Though usually a peaceful cat, she can get quite fiercesome and aggressive when she sees the need to protect one under her care. This goes up to the point of attacking adversaries stronger than her.
Describing word: Caretaker
History: Quickpaw was one of three siblings that got abandoned by their mother somehwere in London for unknown reasons. She never saw the face of her father and of her mother only a vague memory remains. She does remember that the face she associates with her mother was often tear stained though. Her littermates and herself had the luck to be found and brought to the animal pound instead of dying in the alley their mother left them. There they were quickly adopted by humans, as young kittens have that cuteness factor in favor of them. Quickpaw's luck held true to be brought into a very nice human household, which by blind chance was in the direct neighbourhood of the Jellicle junkyard. On her explorations around her new home she finally set foot on the ground which would become her second home and surrogate family. Her siblings all adopted to different areas of London - she never heard of them again. More or less stumbling into the big area where usually the Jellicle ball is held, her open-mindness and hyper-activity brought her quickly into the group of kittens at the time as a new playmate to them and her integration into the tribe slowly began. She learned by watching the other kittens, listening to the elders, sitting through the lectures of Jenny, especially when her clumsiness brought her again with new scratches and bruises under the motherly cat's eye. Time passed in a blur of fun and games for the kitten as she grew up to become the adolescent she is today. Her humans treaded her nice and fair, she was even allowed to bring friends with her home and share the delicious food they gave her. Over time she took an interest in caring for those younger than her and in Jenny's healing work. This slowly turned the hyperactive kitten into someone more responsible and even sometimes a voice of reason among the younger cats, though she still can and will act like a kitten when the need arises...yes she can deeply sigh at the Rum Tum Tugger like the rest of them. Which brings us to now and today, the days after her first ball. Her clumsiness and not so slender build doesn't set her among the great dancers nor does she posses a voice like Jemima, but she is happy to just be part of the group and tribe. During Macavity's attack she was standing hissing and spitting in front of her friends, seemingly unafraid, ready to attack him, if he would have gotten to close to them, neverminding she would have lost in a second.
RP Sample: How Quickpaw would have found the junkyard and the other Jellicles:
Quickpaw carefull peeks around the corner of the huge trash mountain next to her into the vast opeing. This place is just so interesting. Everyturn something new to investigate, every step a new area to explore, so many new scents, so many new sounds. She takes in the picture before her and sees several cats, either sunning and dozing in the late afternoon sun or kittens like herself playing games in front of their elders. Her heart feels like it would burst, "Other cats...I have found others." she mumbles to herself. "I need to introduce myself. Will they like me? I wonder if I can play with them. Oh this looks so much like fun...I" With those words she starts to step forward out into the open as she hears a voice behind and above her "And who would you be, little one?" She feels her hair standing on end as she jumps up and turns in suprise only to land quite ungraceful on her rump and side.. "Oomph!"
