Wasn't sure what to call the title. But this scene I wrote during Church a few weeks back and inspired my drawing of Thomas/Merton and had me taking them on as OCs.

-------
Tommy stared helplessly as they dragged his best friend into the room. He felt an odd ache deep inside his chest and he kept chanting inside his head for the other tom to move. No matter how much he spoke those words in his head, and no matter how hard he willed it, Merton's body didn't budge. It took a while for Tommy to notice, having been distracted by all the blood and quite a few bones that were obviously broken, but Merton's chest was slowly rising and falling. Before he had a chance to breath a sigh of relief at that, a dangerous glow of purple eyes made his stomach churn. A red paw landed on her shoulder, and Tommy couldn't tell if it was red fur or blood. There was too much of the coppery stench in the air to figure it out. Charna threw her head back and cackled as her own flame-colored paw reached up to grasp the red one on her shoulder. Violet stared at him from behind Charna's shoulder. The two pairs of eyes held a certain glee that unsettled Tommy. The instant Tommy saw Violet make a move toward Merton, he began to struggle against his binds. Wasn't Merton injured enough? Desparately, he tried to get their attention back onto him, instead of his unconscious friend.
"Noo!" Tommy shouted when Violet bent down and ran her sick paw down the side of Merton's face.
Even unconscious, Merton flinched from her touch and automatically drew away from it.
"Merton..." Tommy breathed, when he saw the tom move into the fetal position The movement had Merton groaning out in pain, but he had yet to wake up. Tommy wasn't sure if he was grateful for that or not.
"This one is an irritating little one," Violet sneered, her paw clutching onto Merton's mane, her claws digging into his scalp.
There was a look of discomfort on his friends face that turned into a grimace. Merton's eyes were still screwed tightly shut. Tommy had to grit his teeth, realizing that Merton was struggling to remain unconscious, fighting the call to return to reality. And Tommy couldn't blame him. Growling low in his throat, he tried again to direct their attention onto him. He didn't care what they did to him, but as long as Merton was out of their clutches and still alive, then he'd be happy. "He's certainly annoying and weak. There's no way that he's worth your time."
"And you are?" Charna spoke up a twisted grin lighting up her features.
Tomm gave her a sidelong stare, unsure of how to answer her. Instead of trusting his voice he tried matching her grin with on of his own. He knew that his grin looked forced and fearful, but he'd do anything to keep his best friend out of harm. Unfortunately, a quick glance at his friend prved he wasn't doing a good enough job to keep him safe. A permanent grimace was on Merton's face. The split second that he looked away had been a big mistake. Charna advanced on him, and before he knew it, she had hit him across his face. He grunted in pain, but otherwise showed no weakness. He did hear Violet laugh and was momentarily relieved that her attention was off of Merton. He didn't know for how long, but every second he could bare the pain and hold up as their personal entertainment would be worth it. Charna was buzzing enthusiastically in his ear.
"I did have a lot of fun with your brother, Chaos. When I was done with him, there wasn't a single strand of silver fur left to be seen. Blood everywhere, maybe I can make you look even more attractive then he was. What do you think, my blood Rose?"
Violet almost appeared to be looking at him. It was scary, but if it got her claws out of Merton and away from him, then he could handle it. He had to. A sharp cry, and Merton's eyes snapping open, had Tommy biting back tears and bile. He thought he could get them away from Merton. The look of all the pain being relived on Merton's face almost did him in.
"Please..." Tommy spoke out loud before he had a chance to think about what he had just said.
Charna laughed letting go of Tommy's shoulder. Violet's eyes twinkled,"You see Phee? The best way we're going to break that one is through the small one."
Merton's head was forced back, and Violet scraped one of her fangs down his throat. Merton's eyes went wide, but he suppressed any outbursts of the pain he was in. His frantic blue eyes wandered around in panic, until they spotted Tommy. "Tommy!" He gasped, cutting himself off as Violet inflicted some more pain on him.
Tommy gave Merton what he hoped was a reassuring look, trying to stay strong for the younger tom. "Merton, it'll be okay." He nodded his head, trying to convince Merton.
Willing to send his strength to his friend. If only. He knew there was no way he could actually give his strength to his best friend, but he needed Merton to be strong. Watching the two unhinged queens torture Merton was going to be hard enough. A couple tears fell out of Merton's eyes, and he bit down on his bottom lip so hard that he drew blood. However, he locked eyes with Tommy and for the first few moments neither one noticed anything except each other. But the spell was broken when Merton tore his gaze away, threw his head back, and screamed out in agony. Tommy jerked in shock, with the sight and sound that he would never be able to forget. He jerked so hard in an attempt to reach Merton, that he nearly broke his own wrist. Violet let go of Merton's broken arm. It had already been broken before, but Tommy realized that Violet must have twisted his already broken limb, to bring about old pain. She looked as though she were having fun. Tommy felt sick to his stomach, forced to watch the scene before him. He knew that he could always look away, retreat to the far recess of his mind, somewhere that no one and nothing could hurt him, and convince himself that it was all some horrible dream. That none of that was really happening. But he respected Merton too much. If he looked away to protect himself then he'd leave Merton all alone to the nonexistant mercy of Violet and Charna. Charna's eyes were glued to Violet, but she grinned when she sensed Tommy's struggling.
"Make him scream again, pet."
Violet flashed a wicked grin, though after studying Tommy for a moment, her good crazy mood, soured into a dangerous psychotic mood. "Hope he doesn't break too soon...how boring."
"We'll just find long and creative ways to kill them both then. If that should happen."
"Fun." Violet's grin returned, which did nothing to ease Tommy's mind.
Merton's glazed over eyes landed on Tommy again and he saw the younger toms face fall. He had no idea what Merton saw on his face, but the tom was restless. His body screamed in pain and Tommy winced every time Merton shouted in his agony. However, Merton ignored his injuries using just his will alone to raise up into a sitting position. It was surprise only that gave him the advantage. Knocking Violet backwards in a fit of rage, he hissed out in hatred at Charna. Charna applauded the young tom, before peering over at Violet. Though she was thoroughly amused with how things were progressing, she didn't take kindly to getting pushed down. Rising up in anger, she backhanded Merton and watched, in sick fascination, him crumble to the ground. He began to babble but Tommy was fairly certain that Merton wasn't speaking actual words. It had to be some sort of defense mechanism and Tommy, though knew deep down that they were so screwed, couldn't help but be proud of his friend. They all viewed Merton as a geek, a dork (Which he was); someone who was weak. But Tommy had always thought Merton was strong. In many ways, Tommy believed that Merton was the stronger one of the two of them. He was finally back on his feet, injuries once again forgotten, and staring down Violet. Before either of them could do anything, Charna grabbed the back of Tommy's head and pounded it hard against the stone wall behind him, many times. Eventually, Tommy let out a pained noise. Merton stiffened, his attention snapping to the side, to Tommy. Charna gave Merton an evil stare, her paws gripping Tommy's neck tightly. Tommy choked, barely sucking in enough air to survive on.
"Best to cooperate and do anything my Bloody Rose says or your lover here will die." Her claws slowly came out, piercing into Tommy's neck.
He groaned out low, and Merton couldn't tear his eyes away from the blood running underneath Charna's paws; Tommy's blood. He did open his mouth to state everything wrong with her claiming that Tommy was his lover, but knew it wasn't the time, nor would it make any difference. He loved Tommy, he was the best friend that Merton always wanted and needed. Merton would have gladly laid down his life if it meant he'd be saving Tommy's. Swallowing, he loosened the fighting stance that he had been in, submitting to Violet. The two queens smirked, knowing they could use the two toms against each other, it was always more fun that way. Coming forward, Violet gripped Merton's wrist harder than was necessary and dragged him to the other wall. He was still in front of Tommy, both forced to watch the other, they were just further apart. Merton cursed, pled, and hissed in pain. As soon as she finished dragging him and then putting him in restraints, it was all he could do to keep himself from passing out. Tommy winced at every noise Merton made, almost feeling his best friends pain.
"Now the real fun begins."
