Name: Carmen
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Tribe: Hench
Tribe Position: n/a
Family: None of note.
Appearance: Carmen is a medium size queen (5'6", 185 lbs), her figure shapely and feminine. She has an exaggerated hourglass build, but tends to be a bit more bottom-heavy. A little more meat clings to her dark grey upper limbs to keep her looking rounder than leaner; her lower limbs, by contrast, fade from thick and beige into white and elegant, with pale, delicate ankles and wrists.
She wears an orange collar given to her by a priest at the church where she lives. He has somehow divined her real name, and has had it engraved on the back of a small pendant bearing the likeness of the Virgin Guadalupe.
Human Appearance: Denise Bidot
Personality: Carmen is not quite as pretty inside as she is on the outside, and most find this out very quickly. Her temper is quick, her patience with stupidity is limited, and her smile elusive. She shows kindness to few, usually only the young, greeting most others with distrust and suspicion. This has earned her a very difficult reputation, for she is without a doubt one of the best at what she does... or what she once did. Carmen is a curandera, a faith healer—what some might call a witch doctor. But what is a healer without covenant between she and her patients? (Nothing.)
Left to herself, she is secretive and quiet, sometimes so quiet she’s downright spooky. In the presence of others, however, she reveals herself as far less shy than she initially seems. She will often speak out loudly against foolishness and injustice, and does love a good debate or philosophical conversation (with a smart enough conversationalist). She loves to teach, having remarkable patience with kittens. And she does love kittens. It takes a lot to break her defensive shell, but Carmen is soulful and whether or not she wants it, she will always come to like others despite their shortcomings. It's a weakness she's come to accept in herself, nevermind the trouble it might cause her.
Carmen’s outward demeanor belies the real queen underneath. She holds many secrets, the deepest being her true and gentle self. She finds wonder in the smallest of things, takes a great deal of time to simply marvel at the brilliance of life and God all around her. There is great joy in simple things, and great distress in the larger scheme. She feels deeply, but shows nothing.
She has an inherently neutral perception of the world around her, She condemns nothing but those who seek to do harm, yet embraces some things others might consider evil. One does what one must, she says. One acts with one's heart, and none is better or worse than any other. "Sh-t happens," as they say, and Carmen welcomes it all with open arms. We all get what we deserve. Don’t we?
Faults: Can come off as cold, dismissive, harsh, or just plain mean. Closed-off. Judgmental. A bit of a hypocrite at times.
Describing word: Cryptic
History: workin' on it -- hmu if you have a tom interested in being a former fling that ended poorly and with blood (details via pm) (:

Comments: Carmen practices her faith-based craft privately, and no longer offers her services as a healer.
