Name: Harmonia
Gender: Female
Age:Adult
Tribe: Jellicle.
Tribe Position: Member
Family: None.
Appearance:
Human Appearance: Daria Sidorchuk
Personality: Harmonia is a very shy Queen. She gets really nervous when meeting new people. The intelligent Queen is overly cautious. Harmonia wants to be closer to the Jellicles, but she is afraid too. Yet through all the negative thoughts she thinks, she is hopeful that something will change. She is very secretive, and that often makes her appear mysterious. Her aloofness may make her seem stuck-up and snobby, but she is just rather shy. Harmonia is a cat who thinks everything out, which is a rather negative thing, as her thoughts aren’t very positive. She is a glass half empty kind o’ gal.
Her sadness, however, melts away when other Cats, especially Toms are nice to her. If a cat breaks through her shell, they would find a flirty Queen who loves to laugh. Most cats underestimate Harmonia, not realizing that she is not who she seems to be. Underneath everything, she is a lively young Queen. But in order to reach this side of her, one must break through her shell of negativity and shyness. Since she has a reputation for being snobby and rude, she does not care about the reputation of others.
Faults: Harmonia is very negative and mistrustful. She sees the bad in everyone she meets, and uses that as an excuse to stick to herself. Harmonia acts very rude when she is angry, and has a quick temper. All of these traits make it rather difficult for her to make friends.
Once upon a time, she had to fight for scraps. Now she can be rather selfish, and not willing to share. In her mind, survival is a competition that one must fight to win. Harmonia won’t let anyone near something that she believes belongs to her.
Ever since Aelius betrayed her, Harmonia is distrustful. She is very wary to other Cats, and is quick to judge them negatively. Harmonia is also very emotional, to the point of being over emotional, such as her being hot headed and rather sensitive.
Describing word: Unstable
History: The Queen Alala was very excited when she found out she was pregnant with her Dymas’s, her mate’s, child. But Dymas had made it clear that he did not want children, so Alala kept her pregnancy hidden from him for as long as she could. She was afraid he would abandon her, and she carefully blamed all the signs of her pregnancy on other things. Yet her swelling stomach became too much to hide, and Dymas soon figured out. He began to beat Alala for hiding her pregnancy from him, and was quite surprised when she went into labor prematurely. The kitten was born, but Alala was soon dead, from a mix of complications is her pregnancy, and Dymas’s temper.
Realizing the premature kitten would be unable to survive, Dymas took her to his human home. His family had another Queen named Hulya, who had just given birth to twins. He told Hulya that his mate died during the delivery, and asked her to nurse his kitten. Hulya agreed, and took in the kit. She immediately fell in love with the girl, who became on of her own. Hulya noticed how peacefully the kitten slept, as though everything was in harmony. That led her to name the kitten Harmonia.
Harmonia grew up not understanding her situation. Hulya was like a mother to her, and her children, Jada and Jinkx, were like her siblings. Yet, Dymas was her father, but Jada and her brother Jinkx weren’t allowed to go near the older Tom. This was because of Dymas’s nasty temper. On more than one occasion, he hit his kitten. Harmonia loved to play with Jada and Jinkx. They would climb all over the human furniture, playing chase. One day, they were playing, and Harmonia leapt forward to tag Jada. The uncoordinated young kitten tried to jump out of Harmonia’s path, but they both ended up falling off the table, crashing onto the wooden floor. Wobbly when they walked, the young girls could hardly land the fall. Harmonia broke her leg, and Jada suffered serious injuries. A few months later, Jada fell sick and died young. Though the two incidents were unrelated, Harmonia took responsibility for Jada’s death.
A few months later, the family sold Jada off to a new family. The loss of two of her kittens broke Hulya’s heart, and she became extremely protective of Harmonia. In fact, she seemed too protective, not letting the kitten run around and play. Dymas became angry that Hulya would baby her daughter. One night, Dymas struck Harmonia across the face. Hulya was filled with rage and she stepped in between them. All the anger between her and Dymas manifested, and they had a huge fight. Dymas yelled at her, saying she had no right to act like Harmonia was her daughter. Hulya yelled that Harmonia was more her daughter than she was his, for she raised the kitten. Dymas hit the Queen, and a fight erupted between the two. Dymas won, and Hulya was seriously injured. She spent the short remainder of her life confined to her bed. The humans believed that Hulya was attacked by a wild dog, and so Dymas was not held responsible for his crime. Without Hulya, Harmonia’s life went downhill, and she desperately looked for an escape.
Harmonia began to hang out in her backyard. By this time, she was a beautiful young Queen, and a Tom set his eyes on her. Aelius began to visit her every day, and Harmonia fell in love with him. He promised to whisk her away, out of Dymas’s clutch. Harmonia felt hopeful, and she let him help her run away. They moved to an alleyway, and became mates. Soon though, Aelius caught sight of another Queen, and left Harmonia to pursue her. Harmoonia was heart broken, and she soon realized she was pregnant. Harmonia gave birth to a girl, whom she named Jada after her old friend.
She and Jada lived happily, though they often had to fight for scraps to eat. Harmonia was just happy to have Jada, whom she loved more than anything in the world. Jada loved to climb trees, so Harmonia would often take her to the park. It was on one of these occasions that a selfish human stumbled across the pair and decided she wanted a cat. However, she only wanted to care for one cat, so he took the younger kitten. Harmonia tried to rescue her daughter, but was helpless against the human’s might and technology. She no longer felt at home in her alleyway, and wanted a family once again. She wondered around until she came across the Jellicle cats. Harmonia asked Old Deuteronomy permission to stay with them in the junkyard and become one of them. She told him her life story, and he let her stay out of pity. Though she was now a member of the tribe, the young Queen was very wary of them, and mostly kept to herself.
RP Sample: By most standards, the weather would be considered perfect. The son rained down on the junkyard, making their fur coats shine. It was not too hot, nor to cold. There were few clouds. It was the kind of day that most of the cats gathered outside together, hanging out as one tribe.
Harmonia was not part of the togetherness, nor did she want to be. This was not her home, and this was not her family. They were the closest thing she had though. And besides, Old Deuteronomy was like family to her. He was the father she always wanted, but never had. Even if she had an aloof attitude towards the rest of the tribe, Harmonia loved Old Deuteronomy.
While most of the cats gathered to play games, Harmonia sat to herself on top of a pile of the old car. It certainly was the best place for a nap, though Harmonia was far from asleep. Her mind was restless as always, as she sat to herself. The Queen’s head whipped around when she thought she heard a noise. She could be mistaken, but the Queen though she heard something. Was someone coming to join her? Or was it all in her head?
