The tiny scarlet and gold kitten silently entered the play area carrying a big cat toy in her mouth. She scanned the area for any other kittens to play with and, after seeing none, plopped her toy on the ground, crouch, and playfully pounce on it. Spectra batted and chased the toy around.

After leaving Maria and Tumblebrutus to their game, Tugger had made his ways to the streets. He had gotten a good meal in his belly and not seriously flirted with a few queens and one tom. Though he got the impression they expected to see him in their beds later that night. That wasn't going to happen. Tugger had made his way back to the junkyard, sauntering and swaggering through one of the entrances as he pleased. He was careful to avoid the big throng of cats gathered around the gates; the rescued. Which meant one thing, Sir stick up his ass was back home. His eyes rolled slightly at that thought, but he was fairly good at avoiding the silver tabby.
Upon entering the center of the junkyard, he saw a familiar scarlett maine coon and a small smile spread onto his face when he watched her pounce on her helpless toy. All he could see was Ryder, and in some respects seeing Spectra hurt so bad. She was a constant reminder that he'd never see his twin brother again. But she was also a constant reminder that he had existed, and that his short life had mattered. He cocked his head to the side, as he watched Spectra play for a while. "You're almost ready for the real thing, huh squirt?" His voice was soft, as to not startle her. Tugger did bring his paw up and waved his fingers at his niece, a bright smile plastered on his face.

Or if she has to be talked about, I'm going to refer to her as the caretaker. Just in case whoever takes Bomba down the road isn't comfortable with her character already having a kitten. That way they don't get trapped with it already being in game, you know?))

The young kitten beamed at the sound of his voice and scurried over to him. She leaped onto his chest and rubbed her little head against his cheek. "Daddy!" she exclaimed, even though he was not her biological father, but she didn't know that. "I miss you!" Spectra gave him a kiss on the cheek. She pointed to her toy and said, "I gonna be a great hunter!"
((Agreed, though I'm thinking about taking Bomba.))

Tugger was a bit unprepared for Spectra to leap at him and he barely managed to grab a hold of her. He had almost let her fall, but she seemed so happy to see him, that he figured she didn't notice his slip. His smile faltered slightly when she called him daddy and he made a humming noise to get off that subject. As much as he enjoyed spending time with his niece and taking on a fatherly role for her, he still hadn't gotten use to being called a father. It was rightfully Ryder's role, and yet another reminder.
He made a face at the kiss to his cheek, and raised an eyebrow down at her. "Hey now. What did I say about the kissing?" He shook his head and chuckled at the young kitten. Tapping his unkissed cheek with the tip of his finger, he moved slightly so she could reach it. "One kiss for me, and one for ...Ryder, yeah?" He sat Spectra down onto the ground, reaching his comfort level of cuddling. "Alright great huntress."
He moved around her to reach her toy and picked it up carefully between his fingers. "Show me what you've got so far." With a bit of a smirk on his face, he moved the toy back and forth between his paws as he watched Spectra with rapt attention. Once he was sure he had recaptured her attention he began to throw it up in the air only to catch it in his paw. After three more times, Tugger finally reared back and threw the toy across the center, and it went back behind the tire.

Spectra giggled as she kissed his other cheek. "For Uncle Ryder!" She had never met her real father, but Tugger seemed to like him. Before she could ask him what Ryder was like, Tugger had set her down and caught her attention with her own toy. She watched intently as he tossed it from paw to paw and up and down, her head moving in the direction the toy moved. When he had finally thrown it, she took of like a rocket and scurried after it. She came to a halt as she approached the tire and began to tiptoe so as not to make any footsteps. Her ears swiveled back and forth as she went into a pouncing position. The young kitten wriggled her butt a few times before making a huge pounce behind the tire. She walked back out with the big toy hanging from her mouth.

The large black and gold maine coon watched Spectra take off like a rocket and grinned to himself as he watched her stalk her prey. Tugger did wish Ryder could have known or seen his daughter at that moment in time, but Spectra being alive and growing up was still a testament to Ryder's memory. While Spectra was pouncing behind the tire, Tugger got up, swift and silent as he pleased and hid behind one of the tall dressers.

((Nope! I wouldn't mind at all!))
The little kitten was sad for a moment when she didn't see Tugger; however, she could still smell his scent. She pressed her nose to the ground and her nose went straight to work, leading her all around the area, until she arrived at a tall dresser. She peered behind the piece of furniture and smiled. "Found you!" she giggled, the toy dropping from her mouth, and gently nuzzled against him.

The junkyard was a treasure trove made out of garbage. Cats truly were talented at making the most of what humans labeled as useless Thoughts flooded Harmonia’s minded as she strolled through the junkyard. The young Queen enjoyed watching the kittens play. Her daughter, the second Jada, would love it here. Harmonia hoped Jada was well cared for by her family. Part of a cat’s life involved being controlled by humans. The larger creature thought they owned the world and held the right to make everyone else inferior. Yet, Harmonia wished to think of brighter, more cheerful things. She decided to go to the place where all the kittens played. It was a place filled with giggling and childish fun. “Found you!” A noise came from the direction of the play area. Harmonia turned the corner to see a young Princess standing over a toy. Harmonia knew the Princess’s names was Spectra. Harmonia thought she was a cute young girl who would make a lovely Queen. Standing nearby was none other than the Rum Tum Tugger. Tugger had quite the reputation, though Harmonia questioned its accuracy. After all, would such an awful cat play with a hyper young kitten? Harmonia, having no idea who Ryder was, was unaware of the connection between Tugger and Spectra. The patched Queen took a seat to watch the exchange between the cute young Princess and the Tom.

Tugger grinned when Spectra found him and nuzzled against his leg. He bent down slightly and ran a paw through her headfur. "You sure did. You'll make a great huntress one day. As soon as you'll old enough, I'm sure they'll start training you more." He wasn't sure how comfortable he was with her one day going out into the city, to hunt for food.
Considering he knew how bad the streets could get, and that they claimed the life of his twin. But he wasn't going to stop her from exploring either. The best he could do was inform her of the dangers and hopefully prepare her for them when she did decide to venture away from the safety of the yard. And she would. She had that streak in her.
His ears flicked and he inhaled a new scent. Someone new had joined them in the center, and he tilted his head as his piercing blue eyes looked around for the new cat. Seeing Harmonia in the distance watching them, he gave her a friendly grin. The infamous grin that always got misconstrued as some sort of flirtatious leer. "Care to join us?" The little kitten's energetic demeanor changed once she caught a whiff of Harmonia's scent. Her ears drooped a little and she became very quiet and shy. Spectra was taught to be wary of strangers, and although she had seen Harmonia before, the kitten really didn't know her. Spectra didn't take her eyes off of the queen as she hid behind Tugger's leg, her little tail tucked between her legs.

Harmonia gave a small shrug in response to Tugger’s invitation. She did not know what to make of his grin, or how to respond. After all, she barely knew the two. However, this would be an opportunity to get to know them. Could she shut herself off from the tribe members forever. Harmonia opened her mouth to respond to his question, but she quickly closed it when she noticed Spectra’s response. The tiny kitten didn’t seem nearly as welcoming as her older companion. The Queen wished she had Spectra’s approval, but she understood that it was wise of Spectra to be wary. Harmonia plastered on a smile to mask her disappointment. “I would,” Harmonia paused before continuing. “But I don’t think the little warrior approves.” She gave a nod to Spectra, before staring down at her paws. It was the longest response the shy Queen could muster, and it was also the friendliest. Harmonia was very standoffish to strangers, even kittens like Spectra. In fact, she was extremely standoffish to kittens. They could be rather annoying sometimes. In their innocence, they would sometimes pester her with questions she did not want to answer. Harmonia understood that in wasn’t their fault, that they were energetic and curious. Even with her dislike towards kittens, she always tried her best to be nice to them.

Tugger's warm and friendly grin widened, when she accepted his invitation, but i soon faded, when he felt a little furball cuddling up to the back of his leg. The shyness caught Tugger off guard. The whole tribe believed Spectra was his. And he was one of the most outgoing cats in the yard. Even though much of his own personality was a false representation, his outgoing nature was genuine.
He had to wonder if it came from her mother's smothering and doting approach or if it was more of Ryder's influence. He patted the top of Spectra's head, hoping that would ease the young kitten. "It's alright Spectra, she's a jellicle like us." He gave Harmonia a small crack of a smile. "I guess she's a bit shy, but if you stick around, she'll warm up to you in no time."
His tail tip curled up slowly, gently brushing against Spectra's shoulder. "However, if you're not comfortable...I won't force you to stay." He squatted down so he could be more level with Spectra. "Same goes for you baby girl. Do you want to go somewhere else, or do you want to give this new queen a chance?" TAG: Spectra & Flick WORDS: 195 NOTES: N/A

The scarlet kitten looked into Tugger's eyes as she thought of a response. On the one hand, Harmonia was a stranger to her and could possibly hurt her if she let her guard down. On the other hand, Harmonia was also a Jellicle, and Jellicle were always kind and loving to others. Spectra squeezed her face as she thought. She looked at Harmonia for a while before returning her gaze to Tugger. "Gives her chance," she muttered, and stepped out from behind his leg. The young kitten gave a smile to Harmonia. "H-hi," she said to the queen, still a little nervous.

Harmonia felt an ounce of discomfort. She felt as though she was intruding on Spectra’s time with Tugger, whom Harmonia assumed was father to the cute kitten. Tugger seemed friendly, and his reputation didn’t seem accurate at the moment. Was he less flirty in front of the kit? Or was the reputation false? Harmonia was willing to look past it in order to get to know him. While Tugger perplexed her, she was immediately fond of Spectra. Harmonia could relate to her wary and shy ways. The Queen disliked spending time with most kittens, but that didn’t mean she hated the kittens themselves. However, she enjoyed watching them from a distance because of the ways they reminded her of her own daughter, Jada. Kittens still managed to cheer her up, and entertain her, so Harmonia was looking forward to spending time with Spectra, for Spectra was very similar to Jada. Tugger explained how Spectra was just shy. Harmonia gave a small nod and whispered, “She’s not the only one. And I do plan on sticking around.” She had no intention of ever leaving the tribe. A tribe of felines that cared for one another was her ideal home. She felt the fur of his tail on her shoulder, but she ignored the gesture. He was quite the enigma to her. “I’m very comfortable with kittens.” There was a hint of aggression in her voice with the last statement. They did not know about Jada, nor did Harmonia plan on telling them. Harmonia was still thrilled that Spectra would let her stay and and play. It would be fun to spend a few hours in this carefree manner. “Hi there,” she responded to the kitten. “I believe you are Spectra.” Harmonia was much less shy around kittens.
